"You don't have to be so on edge, you know, no one here's gonna hurt you," I said to Hebi, whose gaze was nervously darting about. 

"Easier said than done, given what's around me...most of them are giving me the stink-eye," He sighed wryly. 

We'd just departed from an eastern outer base, and now had to wait several hours before we get to our destination. I've been put in charge of this group, and I can't let there be any tensions between the members I was leading, that could prove to be fatal in the battlefield. 

Hebi probably would've been a lot more comfortable if he was in the same group as Kilzachs and his other teammates...I bet Treem only separated him to sow some more resentment between him and other X-Warriors, those who have been less accepting of him and that other Wight, Iro.
