In the ordinary world, Shinon was happy with operating his family business as a weapon supplier to the dungeon divers. However, one day everything changed.
Shinon woke up in a world overrun by zombies. His abilities weren't made for combat, but when all seemed lost, something happened inside him. A new power awoke within him. The ability to manipulate shadows.
Able to command darkness to do his bidding, Shinon uses his newfound powers to stay alive in a world where death is always around the corner.
As he sets out on his quest, he must navigate through a dangerous landscape filled with zombies, rival survivor groups, and other threats. Along the way, he meets other survivors who join him on his mission.
Together, they face incredible odds and overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. As they journey deeper into the heart of the zombie-infested world. Shinon discovers his powers might not be enough to save them all.
He must face not only the hordes of the undead but also his own inner demons as he grapples with the morality of using his powers to save those he loves.
When the stakes grow higher, and the threat of the zombies becomes direr, Shinon must decide what he is willing to sacrifice in order to survive.
Will Shinon use his powers to save humanity from the brink of extinction, or will he succumb to the darkness within him and become the very thing he is fighting against?

Write a reviewAuthor here! The novel got contracted, so I wanted to leave a review here and give my readers a place to ask questions as well. So if you have any questions related to the story then feel free to drop them here. Thank you for reading!
Yeah no, I am not getting paid or am at a gunpoint to make this review. It is genuine and I like the book. I am sure you will too so don’t be a silly goose and read the first few chapters before going past this. Also the author is handsome, smart, rich, and he cares for me a lot and 100% didn’t threaten me for a review. *blink* *blink* Before I leave, something’s been up on my mind for far too long. It’s my most heartfelt thing for you who’s reading this, and that is:
Ok since everyone here just wants to praise this book without any criticism allow me… while the writing is truly good and the story fairly interesting the biggest issue is the lack of any choice the Mc has in literally every scenario he had virtually no freedom to speak of wether it’s these called system forcing him to do things he clearly doesn’t want to or the dumb situations he can’t do anything for himself it seems like a bunch of stuff just thrown in the moment you think he may go about things on his own just to say nah you my Ma have to do whatever you don’t want I have yet to feel like I’m reading a book about a person and not some slave for lack of a better term hope it changes but if by the whole free day this book is out it’s a total drop for me.
Okay, so I read some chapters. The story is quite interesting. The writing quality is top-notch. Since it doesn't have many chapters yet, I don't need to give spoilers. The pacing, characters' interaction, and many others things are wonderful. It's a must-read novel for sure. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll enjoy it to the fullest!
AMAZING, another 5 star level novel from my bro AkshatArpit. Read it, please. (bro can you release my family now, I gave you five starts)
Reveal SpoilerSignificantly better than "Rise of the Porter."I'm impressed with the improvement in story telling, and I REALLY want this to work. I look forward to your future improvement The characters are very compelling if a bit rushed. the apocalyptic world is a good place for a powerful character to grow.Very curious how you will develop the story .
Being a fan for a while now And the rate of update is still fantastic even with (Zompirewolf) I love Shinon's character but I hope he and Selena come back together pls find a way to bring them together
Reveal SpoilerThis ongoing WebNovel has quickly become a must-read for me. The author's writing style is so engaging and the world they've created is so rich and detailed. The characters are all so unique and I'm constantly intrigued by their individual storylines. I can't wait to see where this story goes and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good ongoing read!
Well what can I say... Akshat does it again. His writing quality is great, and from the current 4k words I read from the novel, it seems like this one is going on a nice direction of a zombie apocalypse. For all the readers of the apocalypse genre or someone looking for a zombie novel, this is it folks!
Great story so far I loved Rise of a porter and am loving this one....but haven't had updates in awhile ...is the story being dropped or just working on the others at the moment ? just curious
I have read the first chapter and not impressed. The first chapter is too choppy… no background i am not aure is there a pre read… He has super powers which he can see on a blue screen…. Why is it like a adaptation of shadow slave and mech touch. Anyways that aside… some build up for chapter 1 would havw helped
I've read 'The rise of a porter' and it's one of my all time favorites and I'm currently reading 'I became a zompirewolf' so I'm going to give this a try believing that this will be a masterpiece just like the author's other novels
That was an excellent start to the story. MCs abilities look quite fun, and I can't wait to see where it goes. Looking forward to more chapters. Keep it up!
I really liked this book. It is completed. Had great story buildup but it does have a lot of branches of the story that didn’t get completed. Bit annoying to start taking the story one way then drop it.
Not a bad novel if you can get into it. Stopped reading because the system forces too many choices, makes the protagonist lack any independence. “Take this system quest or die” type of stuff, just not my jam.
Author AkshatArpit
Read this on a whim, it is actually quite fun and the writing is really high quality. The setting is pretty much a rich blacksmith in a modern fantasy world with dungeons that gets suddenly sent to a future with an zombie apocalypse, you get a mc that mixes the powers of his original setting plus some new, shadow monarch-type of skills to the mix, he gets interesting quests and meets survivors, and there's a lot of action, mystery, and so on. the mc is also quite op, which might fancy some, overall a good read, hoping it improves into something better, as a fellow author, i can tell aksha has improved a lot in the last years
