Chapter 165: The Performance Continues

There was a pause in the activities inside the council chamber as Marcius made his proposal for a duel. But he trekked on undeterred.

"And the person I would like to duel with is… elder Khalid here." Marcius lazily pointed toward the old elder in front of him. "Seeing as he is the root of the problems and the cause of the political instability inside this village, I figure he is the one to be dealt with if I want to solve any problem worth my time. So, what say you, elder?"

At the end of his words, Marcius lifted the spirit pressure bearing down onto the shoulders of the elder and the old man finally managed to breathe with relief. But when elder Khalid looked up, he was greeted with the sight of Marcius's mocking smile aimed at him, and that made his blood boil again.

"How dare you?!" He shouted. "How dare you come into our land, insult our people and make this sham of a proposal like you are someone in charge?!"
