Chapter 288: The Chaotic Siege

Marcus looked around him and observed the battlefield.

It was progressing as they had expected, sure. But it could definitely use some improvements. The cultivators had already engaged against each other. And the ground troops of the Order of Purple Sun were closely marching toward the base of the wall. Unlike the numbers of the order, most of the siege weapons they brought to bear were already destroyed in the first explosion. Since they were siege weapons, they needed to be at the very front of the army after all, just behind the demonic beasts.

Thus, the order's troops would have some difficulties climbing the wall, but it would not be a huge hindrance. With all of that in mind, the soldiers inched closer and closer.

But the clan of Aemilia had not been idle all the while.
