Chapter 23: The missing human.
(AZTEC'S POV)
"Nothing sir!" The voice of the security guard cut through my thoughts and drew me back in to the present. I felt disappointment prick my chest as I ignored him and kept on walking around.
I was at the site of the destroyed orphanage which had been thoroughly searched. Steele came up to me.
"There was no news of her anywhere. She is still being looked out for but so far nothing, Aztec." Steele said.
He was stressed and concerned just as I was.
"You know what makes this harder?" I asked him and he shook his head at me.
"Her scent." I said to him. "Why the fuck can't I track her scent?"
