Chapter 116: Speechless With A Gaping Mouth

Clare stood rooted to her spot as her narrowed eyes stayed glued to Blake's retreating back. She watched her as he disappeared before his eyes, climbing up the staircase.

A sad smile was plastered across her lips as her thoughts began to come rushing at her once again, knocking her sanity down. 

She couldn't tell what was wrong with her mind, but she was definitely not appreciating how Lillian was being treated in this mansion. It would have been fine by her if it was Katherine who was doing it—treating her like her own family when she wasn't. But something came off wrong to her when it was Blake doing the same. 

She wanted nothing more than to leave the place, but had no other choice but to wait as it was too late for her to escape this bitter reality.
