The atmosphere around the Eclipse Clan's newly claimed territory was tense. Whispers of the Demon Beast Clan's fall had already spread across the continent, and the once quiet land was now under constant surveillance. Taiyo stood at the edge of the cliff overlooking his domain, his sharp gaze fixed on the horizon. The destruction of the Demon Beast Clan had sent shockwaves through the world, and he knew the Pillar Clans wouldn't ignore his presence much longer.
"They're coming," Taiyo muttered to himself, his senses sharper than ever.
Behind him, a small group of loyal followers, the few who had witnessed his rise, waited in silence. They weren't warriors or seasoned fighters; they were the remnants of what the Demon Beast Clan once ruled. Farmers, laborers, and merchants—none with the training to defend themselves against the powerful warriors of the Pillar Clans. Yet, they had chosen to follow Taiyo, drawn to his undeniable strength and the promise of something greater.
"Master Taiyo," one of them, a young woman named Rin, approached cautiously. "The scouts have returned. They say the Pillar Clans are assembling. They've been given the authority by the Fist of Meteor to declare war on us."
Taiyo didn't move. He expected this. The Pillar Clans had always been a fragile alliance, held together only by their fear of FOM's wrath. They would act swiftly to avenge the Demon Beast Clan, but they were nothing more than puppets. Taiyo's lips curled into a faint smile.
"Their arrogance will be their downfall," Taiyo said calmly, "They've forgotten what true power is."
Rin hesitated before speaking again. "Should we prepare for battle, Master?"
"No," Taiyo replied. "Not yet. Let them come. I want to see what they'll do when they face me. For now, fortify the defenses, but make no move against them until I say so."
She bowed and left, issuing his orders. Taiyo turned his attention back to the horizon. The Pillar Clans would arrive soon enough, but Taiyo was in no rush. His time spent perfecting the Singularity technique had given him a level of confidence beyond anything he'd felt before. He would make them understand that his return was not to be questioned.

They had gathered in haste, knowing that inaction could be seen as weakness. The defeat of the Demon Beast Clan, a clan whose sole purpose was to maintain FOM's influence, had rattled them deeply.
"We cannot sit idly by!" shouted one of the clan leaders, slamming his fist on the table. "The Eclipse Clan's rise is a direct insult to us. We must act now, or we'll be seen as cowards!"
There were murmurs of agreement, but not all shared his fiery resolve. Among them was Kazuki, leader of the Iron Wolf Clan, a man known for his calm and strategic thinking. He sat with his arms crossed, eyes closed, contemplating the situation.
"Kazuki, what do you think?" one of the leaders asked. "You've been silent this whole time."
Kazuki opened his eyes slowly, his voice measured. "This Taiyo... I've heard stories of him. Before he was cast out, he was a master who could defeat qi-users without qi of his own. And now, it seems he has mastered qi to a level we've never seen. Rushing in blindly will only lead to more deaths."
"Then what do you suggest? We can't let him take control of this territory."
"We need to learn more about him," Kazuki replied. "If he's truly as powerful as they say, confronting him directly will be a mistake. I propose we send an envoy to test him first."
The room grew quiet. Many scoffed at the idea of diplomacy with someone who had already claimed one of their clans, but Kazuki's reputation carried weight. His words couldn't be dismissed easily.
Before anyone could respond, a scout burst into the tent, panting heavily. "The Eclipse Clan… their leader, Taiyo, he's waiting for us. He's invited us to meet him."
A hush fell over the room. Taiyo's boldness was unlike anything they had expected.
Kazuki stood, adjusting his robe. "So, the hunter calls out to his prey. Interesting."
"We'll answer his call," Kazuki declared, looking around at the gathered leaders. "If he's as strong as the rumors say, we'll need more than brute force to win this battle."

"Let them come," he whispered to himself, his hand brushing the quiver of black arrows at his side. "I'll show them what true mastery is."
