Chapter 9: Ch-8 Study session and the result
"Everyone's attention, please." Light said to the entire Class D.
"We will have the exam soon, so let's have a study session. Let's divide us into 5 groups. The leader of the group is in the top 5 in the previous exam. That means Horikita san, Yukimura san, Hirata san, Kushida san, and I will be the group leader. What do you think?" Light asked.
"I think it is great!" Kushida said with a bright smile.
"I agree, it is more effective this way," Yukimura said approvingly.
"Then it is decided. Let's decide the group member." Light smiled and picked up a box full of balls.
"This box is containing balls with numbers 1-5. Horikita san number is 1, Yukimura san number is 2, Hirata san number is 3, Kushida san number is 4, and my number is 5." Light said and walked with the box to let others grab the ball.
The group member is as the following.
Horikita group: Ike, Yamauchi, Sotomura, Miyamoto.
Yukimura group: Miyake, Hondo, Hasebe, Okitani.
Hirata group: Sato, Shinohara, Inogashira, Wang.
Kushida group: Sakura, Onodera, Mori, Matsushita.
Light group: Ayanokoji, Koenji, Sudo, Kei.

'Everything is according to plan.' Light smiled and glanced sharply at Ayanokoji.
'I don't know what your goal is. But, your ability to calculate my move is a dangerous variable to my plan.' Light thought back to the time when he asked Koenji to meet. He had made extra sure that no one knew the location of the meeting except Koenji and him. For Ayanokoji to place a voice recorder device beforehand could only mean two things. First, Koenji was the one who told Ayanokoji the meeting location which is impossible for his character. Second, Ayanokoji has a high analysis ability. To know Ayanokoji's goals and abilities, Light creates the study session group to lock Ayanokoji escape way. The truth is, there is no randomly chosen group in the first place. Because Ryuk is the one who holds the balls. Whenever someone picks a ball, Ryuk will give the ball that Light had arranged beforehand. Because when Light walked to let others pick a ball, he walked in a zigzag pattern. So, the plan was done easily.
"My group only has an idiot," Horikita complained.
"I will make you guys pass the exam," Yukimura said confidently
"Let's do our best everyone," Hirata said with a smile.
"Please count on me!" Kushida said energetically.
"You can count on me, let's meet in my room." Light said to his group.
Ayanokoji didn't say anything and nodded, agreeing to Light proposal.

Light was arranging the study session in his room alone. Noone except Light was in the room even though it is almost the study time.
"Ding dong!" A bell was rang. Light stood up and opened the door. He discovered Ayanokoji who was standing with a blank face.
"Come in, you are the first one." Light said and returned to his seat.
Ayanokoji didn't say anything. He came inside, sat down, and started doing the exam Light had prepared. He found a phone on the table, faced down.
"Wants chips?" Suddenly, Light asked.
"Yes, please." Ayanokoji said.
Light opened the new chips bag and gave it to Ayanokoji.
They continued the study session in silent.
Ten minutes past and the phone on the table shook. Light pick the phone up and sigh.
"It seems that others can't come." Light said regretfully.
"So, it is only the two of us then. Do you want to stopped?" Ayanokoji asked.
"Let's continued, I will go to the toilet." Light said and went to the toilet.
Ayanokoji nodded. After Light went into the toilet, he opened his bag sneakily. In it is a voice recorder. He knew that this room had a camera, but it can only be seen by phone. The phone was placed on the table, so he concluded that he was trapped. It was too obvious for Light to forgot his phone when he went to toilet. Ayanokoji slowly placed the voice recorder under the table, avoiding the camera sight and continue his study normally.
Meanwhile, Light was watching Ayanokoji action through his phone. His phone was at the toilet all this time, the phone on the table was Sudo phone. Light had a study session with Sudo before the meeting time, he purposely made Sudo forgot his phone to bait Ayanokoji.
'It seems that he noticed my faked camera. Well, it's time for plan B.' Light thought. He recently set up a faked camera while the real hidden camera can see Ayanokoji action clearly.
'Now I have an evidence to make up that Ayanokoji was a spy from another class.' Light thought and went out of the toilet.

Today is the day Chabashira will show the result of the exam. Almost all the students in Class D was relaxed because they are confident of their result, except Horikita group members. Horikita group members did not studied much and they didn't went to the study sessions at all.
"Grk-....." The door was opened and Chabashira walked in with a document. She went to the board, wrote the test score, and drew a line upper Miyamoto name.
"Ike, Yamauchi, Sotomura, and Miyamoto. You guys are expelled. The pass score is 30, but the four of you only have 10-20 score per subject." Chabashira said with no emotion.
'Trashes eliminated.' Light thought with a smiled.
"No way! Sensei is there no way to save them?" Hirata shouted.
"Hirata it was the action of these fools that get them expelled. They can only blame themselves." Horikita said coldly.
"No! It was because of you! You are a disqualified leader Horikita! Because of you, I was expelled!" Ike shouted.
"Please stop everyone, we are friend right? We should not blame each other" Kushida said beggingly
"Kushida chan, it is okay. They are no longer Class D after all." Sato said.
The class started to become chaotic. The puppet were blaming each other's while the puppeteer was smiling at the background.
