"Thank you," Scarlet said, accepting Ian's hand to step out of the carriage. 

She inspected the house she would call home for the next few days. It was far smaller than her estate and both of the homes Ian had in Lockwood. There would be no way for her to hide from him during this break.

"I know that it is small but it was only meant for me to reside in. Bringing a woman here was never in my plans. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. You can use the second bedroom if you grow tired of me which I think will not happen," Ian said, confident she would stick to him. 

'It is fine. I like that it is small. It is only the two of us. Three? Four?" Scarlet added as she spotted two men walking around. "You have guards here."
