Chapter 1: New Beginnings
Fernando moved from New York just a few months ago looking to start a new life for his wife, Lisa, and his daughter, Katy. Fernando loved his family to the fullest and would do anything to keep them happy. 3 months before Katy's 17th birthday, Fernando and Lisa worried about what they could get Katy for her birthday after they spent all their money moving into the house. After spending time online looking for a car he came across a car shop for rent-to-own vehicles called "The Rental" Owned by a guy by the name of Mr. Gee. Fernando emailed Mr. Gee about a red car he seen.
"Dear Mr. Gee my name is Fernando Smith and I am looking for a car for my daughter for her 17th birthday and I saw a red impala and would like to come look at it please write back T.I.A." With the email sent Fernando waited days before he got a response telling him to come to the dealer. Lisa was more than happy to hear that they could have found a present for their daughter.
"I'm going to go to the dealer when I get off," stated Fernando
"No wait until I'm home so we can go together," responded Lisa, "I met a friend today and told her about the dealer and she told me to be careful around Mr. Gee he is dangerous and creepy, so I'm coming."
"I can handle Mr. Gee on my own he is a good guy," responded Fernando.
While at her first day at a new High School Katy found it hard to make friends no one would talk to her except Roberto, a very social kid.
"Hey I noticed you're a new student and don't talk a lot so I decided to come introduce myself I'm Roberto Daniels, who are you?"
"My name is Katy Smith and I just moved here from New York and I don't know anyone."
Roberto responded with "Well I see we have the same next class so do you want to walk with me.....friend?"
"Sure friend," Katy replied laughing
On their way to their class together they hear "Roberto you replaced me with the new girl already?"
Roberto replied with a laugh "I'm sorry you had to meet him like this but this is my best friend since kindergarten Xxander, Xxander this is my friend since a few minutes ago Katy."
"Hey Katy I'm the wild crazy friend unlike Roberto," laughed Xxander.
"Hello Xxander looks like I got two new friends," giggled Katy
"Let's get to class since we are all aquatinted with each other," Roberto stated.
After school Xxander's little sister Emma came around the corner
"Xanny Xanny Xanny guess what guess guess guess!!"
"Hey hush with the Xanny crap and what Em."
"Mommy and daddy are getting us a puppy, and I thought you liked when I called you Xanny"
"Yeah you love the name "Xanny"," laughed Roberto.
Katy giggled, "Xanny, hmmmmm I like it"
"Are you the new girl?" Asked Emma
"Yes I am," replied Katy.
"That's why Xxander is acting like he don't like "Xanny"." Stated Emma
"Well thank you all for the warm friendly and amusing introduction to the High School but I do believe I must be getting home." Katy said while walking off.
"MOM...DAD are you guys home!?" Screamed Katy.
When she got no response she went to the kitchen to fix something to eat and found a note from her mom on the fridge. "Dear Katy, your dad and I will be working late tonight you are in charge of dinner tonight do not open the door for ANYONE and please stay INSIDE the house, love mom."
Katy got her a snack and started on her homework.
"Ughhhhh I'm so bored I hate homework." Katy picked her phone up and FaceTimed Emma.
"Hey Em what's up?" Stated Katy
"Hey Katy I can't believe you actually called me Xanny can't keep you out of his mouth he likes you already." Stated Emma
"I kind of figured when he got mad at you for calling him Xanny in front of me." Laughed Katy
Katy and Emma stayed on FaceTime for another hour or two before Katy had to hang up and get dinner prepared. While preparing dinner Katy heard her mom and dad come in from work.
"Katy!" Exclaimed Lisa
"Hey mom how was your day?" Asked Katy.
"Your dad and I had a pretty good day how about yours?"
"Could you help me set the table then I'll tell you and dad EVERYTHING that happened today." Replied Katy.
Once the dinner table was set and everyone was settled in after their day Katy started talking about her day, "Well I made three friends today one lives down the road his name is Roberto Daniels-"
"Roberto!?!" Said Fernando with bass in his voice.
"Fernando," Replied Lisa, "Finish honey."
"Well Roberto helped me around the school today along with his best friend, Xxander and Xxander's little sister, Emma, Emma is a sweet girl I really get along with her we really click."
"Well that's fantastic honey your making friends already." Said Lisa.
"I'm going to bed now don't stay up too long mom and dad." Katy replied laughing and yawning
"Goodnight sweetie!" Lisa and Fernando yelled together.
