Grand Princess Xiang Mingyue's residence. 

Xiang Mingyue pulled her fur coat close as she walked through the small garden next to the main courtyard of her residence.

This was a usual practice every day, not even a change in weather would keep her. The tall maid behind her shivered and quickly wrapped her hands around her chest.

She glanced at the stoic-faced guard walking beside her, eyes lingering on his bare hands. He did not seem cold at all. She tore her eyes away as the man looked down at her. 

She bit her lip and avoided the guard's eyes, cheeks flaming. She hugged herself closer and hissed as a sudden cold breeze ran through and the speed of the snow doubled.

Jinghua squinted and looked up, "we have to go in, Your highness. It has started snowing harder. if you stay any longer, you might catch a cold," she stepped closer to the princess and pull up her hood.
