Chapter 260: • What Normal Punches Feel Like
Spheris stood on the elevated stage across from Davion Redson. Every eye was on him, some filled with curiosity, others with doubt. Tension was in the air, not a tension that got to him though, Spheris knew exactly how this match was going to go.
[Praised By The Winds] took a confident pose, wind from the windows made his cape to flow slightly, a confident smirk below his sharp nose. Spheris could see he was already basking in the glory of his assumed victory, certain that a Master Rank Heathian who stole his ticket of escape from the Abyss would be no match for his High Rank prowess.
Even though his shadow was not particularly difficult to communicate with, Spheris didn't see the need for it. The Bearer seemed all too predictable already.
"I can tell this will be quick," Davion said, drawing one of his swords with a flourish. "I don't know who you're trying to impress, Heathian. But it won't be at my expense."
