With a humph and a grunt, Spheris pushed himself to his feet, not taking his eyes off the three individuals in front of him, who — if he hadn't already had it handled and didn't need their help — he would be calling his saviors

They all looked fairly easygoing, nothing about their presence, dressing or mannerisms seemed troublesome. Not even the hulkish one standing behind.

Spheris studied the one who had spoken to him. He had a gold medallion on his chest, something he was clearly proud of with the way he sampled it. He had a fine smile and a handsome face that painfully reminded Spheris of Perichan.

Spheris assumed this man to be the leader of this curious trio. It seemed the people of the Continent weren't that terrified anymore of Knightmare, or perhaps with the Abyss gone, they're now willing to take the bigger risks to get what was necessary to put some food on the table.
