Chapter 26: Chapter 26: No Longer A Recluse

Kinsley’s POV

Ace isn’t letting me stay out of sight anymore. He has me trapped in his tent, my arms, and legs wrapped in so many chains that even if I were to shift, I would break my ankles or my wrists in the process. I couldn’t shift even if I wanted to. My wolf has been too wounded from the last few days.

No matter how much I try, I can’t reach Terron in the mind link. Whatever Ace wrapped around these cuffs on my wrists makes my wolf senses lessen, though I still feel her inside of me. She’s begging to be let out, but we’re trapped together under the surface.

Ace hums a noise in his sleep, arms caging me to his bare, muscular chest. I squirm in his arms, on the cot that is drenched in his scent, toying with the chains when it’s pointless. If Terron did get hurt past being able to heal, then I have no reason to run from Ace.

I’ll have nowhere to run to.
