Chapter 50: Chapter Fifty: The Lone Pact

Keera sighed and tried to regain her composure. She had been through quite an ordeal with Penny and Ember whom was just collected by the child, someone Keera had been working with for quite some time.
" Stupid Witch" Keera scoffed as she paced pack and forth, trying to calm herself down.

" It's not like I did things just because it was fun to do. I have my own goals and my own ambitions.." Keera was doing all that she could to justify her betrayel to Penny and Ember though she found herself struggling more and more to do so. On some, small level she had become attached and she hated every single second of that realization. And though, she knew she was attached, she would not rush to their aid due to her own goals.
" It's their own fault and their own problem" Keera rubbed her forehead with her hand which was trembling from the adrenaline that was coursing through her veins.

" And where the hell is Kara? " Keera looked around the surrounding area but observed that she was still very much alone. " She was suppose to meet me and yet she isn't here..I wonder if something is wrong.." Keera rolled her eyes and she lowered her hand from her head down to its original position, and proceeded to clench her fist tightly.
" I am so tired of working for these freaking Witches" Keera growled. " This is worth it Keera " She reassured herself as a method to calm down.
" Once I'm out of here, I don't have to worry about any of this" Keera snapped her fingers and within a second, she was gone.

Keera arrived at Kara's hideout and noticed that it was rather quiet. At first, she assumed Kara had stepped out until she noticed her laying unconscious on the ground. Kara's clothes had been ripped and she looked in far worse condition than the last time she had seen her.

" Kara? " Keera called out but Kara did not respond. Keera rushed to her side and began trying to shake Kara awake who remained unconscious.
" What in the hell happened to you? " Keera was confused as to what could have possibly happened to her. Could it be that the Child had done something to her? But what would be the motivation behind the attack? To Keeras Knowledge, The Child would get no benefit to attacking Kara so this made practically no sense. And even still, how did the Child know where Kara was located?
" That Kid isn't right.." Keera groaned as she continued trying to wake Kara.
" I feel like if everything is left up to her, this whole world is going to crumble but then again..Kara is not a much of an improvement" Keera sat down Kara, finally relenting that she could not wake Kara.
" I just want to get out of here " Keera began sobbing, though trying to her best to control her emotions by pressing her hands as hard as she could against her face.
" This is such shit " Keera screamed, with Kara still not responding.
" You were suppose to get me out of here " Keera cried to Kara as the only thing breaking the dead silence in the room was Keeras cries. " So you better not be dead dammit " Keera pounded her fist into the ground in pure anger.

After a few more moments in complete silence, Keera turned back to Kara. " I need you to get me out of here, I need you to make all this go away just like you promised me. So WAKE UP " Keera shouted as she slapped Kara across the face who remained unconscious and unresponsive.
