Chapter 29: Sugar Free
"Aaaaaaaa...."
A second hadn't gone by after the match started and tens of warriors ganged up on Rebecca.
A continuous amount of attacks followed on her which were easily avoided by her.
Jay without moving himself observed that Rebecca's fighting style was very unique. She wasn't attacking her opponents with her sword but was just dodging their attacks.
~Splash ~Splash
"No... No..."
"It hurts!"
Waves of screams emerged as some warriors fall in the water streams, only to be assaulted by man-eating piranhas inside it.
Rebecca was not only dodging but leading her opponents at the edge of the arena and pushing or making them lose their balance so they fall in the water. She was winning without even using her sword to attack.
"Kill her fast! Don't waste time!"
The audience started getting impatient as the number of attackers reduced. There were now almost fifty people in the arena including Jay, Rebecca, and Gladius. Rebecca had defeated half of the initial in a short amount of time.
"Let's get it over with!"
Jay said to himself and released his intense aura. With a wave of energy, most of the attackers lost their consciousness and fell to the ground.
"What?"
"What just happened?"
The audience was dumbstruck. Even they managed to feel something unusual in the air before the warriors in the arena fainted. Their eyes moved towards Jay who they sensed was the cause of this.
Jay casually walked towards Rebecca who was in the same position as the audience, couldn't believe what just happened.
Seeing him approaching, she raised her sword.
People's eyes in the audience lit up as now finally they can see the execution of the woman they hate so much.
But Jay was not interested in killing her. He had won and now wanted to claim his prize.
But he hadn't won.
"You!"
~Boom
Gladius was still on his feet. He leaped towards Jay and through his hand, blasted on his face with his power.
Dark smoke covered his upper body which people weren't even sure if it exists anymore?
"Now I will need a mouth freshener!"
Jay waved his arms to disperse the smoke.
Finding him unharmed, Gladius once again raised his arms to bombard him with bombs but Jay blocked his movements by grabbing his arms.
"I would have spared you but..."
While grabbing on both of his arms, Jay landed a strong kick on his gut.
~AAAAAAAAA
Gladius' body was thrown into the river. A large scream echoed as his arms were ripped apart from his body because of Jay not letting them go and the power of the kick was too great. The water become red as the blood from his ripped arms spread into the stream and the piranhas enjoyed their meal.
"But you interrupted from a lovely moment!"
Jay threw his arms and continued his walk towards Rebecca.
"He... He..."
With Gladius' brutal demise, Diamante was speechless. There were now only two people in the arena making Jay the winner of this bout.
He was furious. Wanted to jump in and avenge Gladius' death but Sugar's safety was his topmost priority.
"The warrior named Jay is the winner!"
Diamante announced.
"Kill her! Kill her!"
Public chanted as Jay stopped just an inch away from Rebecca.
She had raised her sword but seeing him kill Gladius in such a way had caused all the courage to defend against him to leave her body.
She could only look up to him.
She like all the people in the audience felt like her end is near.
But...
Jay was smiling as he looked into her eyes. He was almost a foot taller than her. She looked like a caged cute bird.
He removed her helm and raised her face using her chin. The chanting of 'kill her' lessened with his action.
Rebecca's body felt hot as she looked at Jay's lips. She felt like kissing him but she had no courage for it.
"I am Jay and I won so you belong to me now!"
Jay declared with a winning smile and pulled her face close to him. Their lips met and they ended up in an ardent kiss.
Rebecca was initially surprised but soon began enjoying the kiss and placed her hands on Jay's waist.
Jay used this opportunity to fully taste the beauty's lips. He smooched on her lower lip, upper lips, moved his tongue inside her mouth, and savored in her taste.
Saliva was exchanged as their tongues danced inside their mouths.
'Similar taste to Viola!'
Jay thought as he made out with Rebecca.
While they were kissing the public was astounded. They accepted that Rebecca was a top-tier beauty but they hated her and her family and couldn't have a positive opinion about her.
They wanted to scream but it was a pleasant sight to watch so they watched it silently.
While Rebecca and Jay were sharing a kiss, Viola and Kyros hurriedly entered the colosseum.
Both of them were shocked seeing Rebecca's lips being locked with Jay's, especially Kyros as a father wasn't able to think straight seeing his daughter in such an intimate position. But they were pleased as she was safe.
"Viola, Sugar is here!"
Realizing that they don't have to worry about Rebecca, they immediately thought about their main target.
Viola nodded and formed a circle on her eye with her index finger and thumb.
"Mystic Eyes of Glare!"
She chanted and it activated her ability, which allowed her to see through everything, both literally and figuratively. She can see through a person's clothes and skin, much like X-ray specs, but also read their minds and memories, allowing her to see through any lies. She can see anything from a large distance.
She was using her mystic eyes to look for Sugar in the audience.
After a minute or saw, she found Sugar. She was sitting in the middle of the audience while hiding her face with a headscarf.
"Here she is!"
Viola declared and ran in her direction followed by Kyros.
While everyone's eyes were stuck on Jay and Rebecca, the duo didn't remain hidden for too long from Diamante's eyes.
~Stanch
Diamante leaped towards Viola with his sword but met with Kyros' sword. He held him back while Viola reached near Sugar.
"No...."
~Bam
Before Diamante or any of the guards could do anything, Viola brought out a gun and shot Sugar at point-blank range.
