Brittany handed the bag to him without saying anything.

Sam had heard from Mia that it was a family heirloom, so he carefully held it in his arms as if he was afraid of breaking it.

Brittany chuckled when she saw him doing this. "You'd better carry it."

"There's nothing special in here. It's just a set of gold needles, a mortar, and a few books."

"However, this golden needle was passed down from my ancestors. To be honest, it's not worth much."

Sam heaved a sigh of relief and put the bag on his shoulder.

It was still early when they arrived home.

Sam returned the parcel to Brittany at the door. He was afraid that his family would misunderstand that he had bought something good.

When she entered, Mrs. Woods saw the package in Brittany's hand in the courtyard and her eyes darted around.

During lunch, she heard that Brittany had returned to her parent's home. She must have brought something good back from her parent's home.
