Shi Xiaonian's body tensed, turning around slowly. She saw Gong Ou, who was wearing a loose, thin sweater, walk into the kitchen with lightly casual steps.
Maybe because he wasn't formally groomed, his short hair was unkempt and slightly messy. However, this failed to compromise his handsomeness and was even naturally appealing and sexy in a certain sense.
If Gong Ou were to appear in public with this look, many females with crushes towards him would tear into him on the spot.
Of course, Shi Xiaonian wouldn't openly admit that he was handsome. Now, she only associated his face with arrogance, indulgence, excessive force, and lewdness.
She didn't look at him for long before retracting her gaze. She stood at the side, drinking a refreshing glass of cool water.
Gong Ou glanced at her through the corner of his eyes. He saw Shi Xiaonian standing next to the counter, lips slightly agape to allow crystal-clear water to enter her mouth. Her smooth neck was raised, exposing the bobbing of her throat as the water made its way down her oesophagus.
The simple act of drinking water unintentionally emanated an inexplicable temptation, causing a flame to flicker unstably within him.
He had to admit that Shi Xiaonian's cute and innocent face posed a fatal attraction to him.
Gong Ou wasn't a man to restrain himself, but he wasn't a man who liked to be enticed and captivated by a single woman either. So after imprisoning her, he didn't touch her again but changed to the company of other women. To him, all women were the same anyway.
Though, it was definitely strange. The mesmerizing and seductive Xie Linlin, even when stark naked, was incomparable to a woman who was causally drinking water. Only she could make him feel such intense impulses with only simple actions.
"For you to be in the mood to leisurely cook, it seems that I treated you too kindly," Gong Ou murmured while striding towards her with long legs.
As he approached, the scent unique to her flooded his nostrils.
Shi Xiaonian frowned. The hatred towards the man who imprisoned and repeatedly violated her was clearly evident on her face. With a mocking tone, she asked, "Wasn't Mr. Gong out seeking pleasure? How could he appear in the kitchen for a meal so soon? Could it be...your stamina is lacking?"
How could Gong Ou not understand the meaning to her words? This was the most taboo insult to a man.
His sword-like eyebrows dropped like a guillotine, gleaming fiercely.
"Hmph," Gong Ou backed her onto the counter while pressing his palm on the platform. He then lowered his head to speak sullenly, "Whether my stamina is short or not, you should know very well, right?"
"I don't know."
"Is that so? Then I'll let you revisit it," Gong Ou smirked evily, pinching her chin with his fingers.
Shi Xiaonian was never savvy or shrewd when it came to verbally attacking people. She only spat those words in a fit of anger though she knew it was unwise to provoke him. She didn't hurl any more insults but the fuse within Gong Ou was already lit.
She turned her head away in order to shake his fingers from her chin before stepping to the side.
However, Gong Ou didn't let her go. He pulled her towards him by her waist before slipping his hand into her clothes, regardless of the many people in the kitchen. Shi Xiaonian's face whitened. In a fluster, she pushed his hand away before whispering, "Mr. Gong, I was wrong."
She was imprisoned for several days now so she had learned to restrain her temper somewhat. If it meant avoiding humiliation, she didn't mind admitting a couple of mistakes.
"Who said that I'd forgive you just because you've admitted your mistakes? You're too naive!" Gong Ou snorted before lifting her stubborn chin, ready to close in for a kiss.
Just then:
"Master, the food is ready on the table," the voice of a young maid rang from behind.
"I'll deal with you later."
Hearing this, Gong Ou released her before leaving behind those menacing words. He took a seat around the long dining table.
