Chapter 109: Morning Hunger and Elaine's Anger

The next day Scarlett woke up very early, mostly because she couldn't exactly get any sleep out of anxiety. Last night she was excited about meeting Elaine and planned how to win her over but Ezra said, "sweet talking will get you nowhere, especially when it comes to my mom."

Well, there goes her plan to woo Elaine. In Italy people impress their in-laws by showing good hospitality and by cooking delicacies but she has no idea what Americans do to gain in-laws' approval? All she know that she wants Elaine's approval and for that she will try hard. 

Scarlett sat on the couch and sipped on her morning coffee when Ezra came down the stairs. "Good morning." He greets her walking towards the living room.

"Good morning." She tried her best to hide her lack of sleep but he still caught on having those keen eyes. 

"You don't look so good." Ezra says with concern.

"Thanks for your concern but I'm perfectly fine." She snapped at him being on her guard.
