Chapter 78: Interrogation (Part- 3)

Things didn't go the way Ezra thought it would go. Scarlett sat with shock, pain and sadness. The commissioner too looked like he was frustrated with something. But that wasn't his concern. He was concerned about Scarlett who sat like a doll. With no expression on her face, just the tears rolled down from her eyes.

"We will take a ten minutes break. Scarlett, Mr. Knight?" The commissioner asked. "We will again continue after ten minutes, meanwhile, would you two like to have something? Perhaps some tea?"

Ezra looked at the commissioner and found him nodding at him. He understood what he meant. "Yes, we would like some, thank you."

"Okay, I'll tell my staff to send two cups of tea for you two." Saying that he and his other officer took all the files of the report and went out of the room. Leaving them both alone in the room.
