Chapter 108: A Scheme To Win Over The Mother In-law

Scarlett's heart melted hearing his dedication towards her. "I need more time to think, Ezra, please can you give me?"

He took her hand and placed a small kiss on her palm. "You have time until my patience runs out." He says, "if by then your answer doesn't satisfy me then I will have to drag you down the aisle with me."

Scarlett frowned, "you wouldn't force me."

Ezra wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her up to sit, then says, "I would never until and unless it's a matter of necessity, a dire situation or when it comes to your protection."

Scarlett rolls her eyes at him and tries to cover her body with her arms. Suddenly feeling cold even if she's in his embrace. "You are always ready to be my knight in shining armour, aren't you?"

He placed a finger under chin and tilted her face to him. "If I don't become your Knight, your protector, then who will?"
