Chapter 46: Hidden Cave

Trailing from a distance from Zireael: Aurelia, Sionn, and Ella stood cheerfully talking with one another while further ahead, Zireael spoke with his Master.

"Can it be her?"

"Maybe, she did once upon a time have five heads, but during the years, it grew to seven. If I am correct, then this was the land where Tiamat was last seen." The Master voiced in excitement. "I want you to find her!"

"Find the seven-headed dragon capable of killing gods like nothing?" Zireael sarcastically mocked, "Are you serious? I am not suicidal anymore. You go do it. Even at my peak, I could not even hurt her."

"No need to be so bitter, "The Master laughed, amused by his young disciple, "it's just been a while. Tia was quite a dragon during her time before she went missing, but it seems like her cult is here upon this land. For that man to have a piece of art of her during her youth, Alos must have been important to her once upon a time."

"Agreed, but do you know anything about this Azalea? Many see Tiamat as her. Is there a possibility they are the same?"

"No, Tia is far too prideful. I don't think so, but due keep me in the loop." Said The Master, severing the spiritual connection.

Humming a small tone, the coo's of the tiny owl upon Zirael resounded, singing along, flapping its tiny wings.

"COO COOO COOOO CO COOOO COOO HOOO HOOO!!"

Vibrantly laughing, Zireael smiled, lovingly poking the owl's soft snow-white feathers."What should I call you? Night hawk? Xerxes? I quite like Xerxes, but you're a girl and a super cute one."

"COOOO!" The baby owl resounded lappings in what seemed to be agreement.

Coming to a halt, Zireael peered a distance away. Scrunching his brow, he whispered, taking to the skies with a levitation spell.

Coming into this view stood a raging river rushing off a cliff which greatly startled The Young Lord. He was not on elevated ground, yet a large waterfall glistering in rainbow-colored light shimmed into his eyes.

"Cooo!" Said the Nameless baby owl

"Yeah, I think this was once a battle," Zireael whispered, gazing upon the massive wildlife around the waterfall, "This must have been a tier seven spell. The land was flattened below sea level. The person who did this must have been powerful."

Turning towards the children who had been ignoring him these past few days, Zireael flew towards the waterfall, his mind growing blank the closer he drew.

"A holy spell? "he whispered, passing his hands through the waterfall, "This land is purified... at least part of it is."

"Cooo?"

"Yeah, I am kind of interested too," said Zireael, not aware he was speaking with a baby owl flapping his wings excitedly upon Zireaels silver hair.

Landing at the base of the waterfall, Zireael looked around in every direction. Taking note of a hidden cave behind the waterfall, he stopped. Pondering whether he should invite the children to explore with him.

"Should I take them?" Zireael asked, glancing at the baby owl.

"COO COO COOOO!!!"

"Fine, fine, I don't sense any powerful creatures inside, but it could hold some interesting treasures. I'll take them. Assuming they don't piss me off."

Flowing with the soothing breeze, the young lord flew towards Auralia, who still remained angry. Noticing her mortal enemy coming into view, she raised her staff.

"Can you stop that? You have been attacking me ever since I told you to stop crying," said Zireael, still hovering in the skies.

"You're a bully!"

Not sure what to say, Zireael, landed touching his chin, "Are you still mad? It's been two days; let it go!"

"No!" Aurelia shouted, fasting a firebolt point-blank towards Zireael. Twitching his eyes, an invisible sphere covered the young lord as he sighed utterly unharmed.

"Aurelia," Ella muttered, pulling her filth clothing that had not to be cleaned since being kidnapped, "Let's just see what it is; I am sure he would not call us over if it weren't important."

flaring her cheeks, she turned to Sionn, who seemed a little downcasted, "What do you think?"

"He has an opinion?" Zireael questioned, "Wait, why the hell is he even here?"

Receiving a death stare that could silence a god, Zireael rolled his eyes, "Forget it. I am going. I tried. If you don't want to see, I don't care." He said, taking back to the skies and flying off without a second thought.

"Aurelia! Did you forget the knights are after us?" Ella yelled, rushing behind the fading image of Zireael.

Unable to forget, she turned to Sionn, who also nodded, "Let's go. I am sure whatever it is will take my mind off Aunty— I mean Vala."

Feeling partially responsible, Aurelia nodded, speeding behind Ella alongside Sionn. Noticing the scent of freshwater, the trio finally stopped discerning the large cliff and a small boy hovering in the middle of the waterfall.

Taking notice of the three pairs of eyes, he snorted, "Should I be petty? I am feeling quite petty... Wait! WAIT! STOP!"

Watching Aurelia leap off the edge of the waterfall, her golden eyes gleaming fiery defiance, she screamed, "CATCH ME DUMB DUMB!"

Pointing towards Aurelia, he glared, chanting a levitation spell upon the young girl. Coming to a silent halt that seemed to defy the laws of gravity, Aurelia's eyes sparkled with victory; pointing towards Zireael, she yelled, "Jump, dumb-dumb will catch you."

Not hesitating in the least, Ella pulled Sionn along with her, screaming as they entered a free fall.

"Screw them, "He muttered, not bothering to watch them fall to their deaths.

"ZIREAEL!!!!" Aurelia hatefully barked.

Rolling his eyes, he sided, casting two levitation spells upon Ella and Sionn the moment their bodies were about to touch the lake below. "Do that again, and I will let you fall. I am sure you will live, but the rest will not be so lucky." He warned, waving his hands as the three children splashed through the waterfall, entering a dark cave.

Breathing heavily, Sionn kissed the ground, "Oh, Great Mother, I missed you. Never again, never again!"

Shaking her head in agreement, Ella trembled, remembering the rush of death, the chilling water in the air, and the blinding flare of light. She gulped, too afraid to speak as she turned to Aurelia.

"I-I-I'm sorry, "Aurelia muttered, "I didn't know he would do that."

"You should be sorry," Zireael asserted, believing Aurelia was speaking to him. " But I do not forgive you. The hell do you think I am? A taxi?"
