He had even informed his Young Master regarding Young Madam's request. Old Toshio faintly heard the trace of surprise in the man's voice before Kyoya said, "Do it, then."
It was plausible for Young Master to feel surprised yet happy, indeed.

"Come in," Shouko's voice sounded after Old Toshio knocked on the door twice.
Old Toshio was pleasantly surprised because, usually, Young Madam would just ignore the knocks thus him and the other maids would just have to enter without her instructions.
He found that ever since this morning, the chill and gloomy air around the young madam had slightly dissipated. Even her smile carried faint warmth, unlike the following days and months after the death of the little master.
