Chapter 9: Introductions

"Eric Linaeas," said a blonde-haired young man with a smile that left many female students blushing due to how devastatingly handsome he looked. His perfectly chiseled features, combined with an effortless charm, made him the object of admiration for nearly everyone in the room. Most people knew who he was, so it was no secret he was a high-ranker.

'That guy… He's bad news,' Lorelle thought, his ash-white eyes narrowing as he gazed at Eric, who proceeded to take his seat with a casual confidence that only added to his allure.

[Why…? Did he eventually become a villain?]

"… He did. He led to the death of a hidden heroine in the process, and it was all because he got greened over his fiancée," Lorelle muttered under his breath, his tone barely audible amidst the murmurs in the room. The next person after Eric stood up.

"Allen," said a young man with gray hair and merlot-red eyes, his voice sharp and curt, not bothering to complete his name as he sat down. His presence radiated an air of authority and confidence, the way he held himself exuding dominance. His strikingly handsome face was almost unnerving—his sharp jawline and piercing gaze compelled even the proudest to avert their eyes. Many of the male students felt an instinctive need to shrink away, their own self-esteem paling in comparison.

'Allen,' thought Lorelle, his gaze unwavering as he studied the man who sat in the front row with his usual entourage of lackeys. He was there, no doubt, to uphold his reputation as a model student.

[A villain or…?]

"Do you even have to ask at this point? You've seen who he's seated with, and you already know who he's engaged to," Lorelle whispered, leaning back in his seat with an air of resignation.

"Micheal Rolphen," announced another young man with flowing golden hair that shimmered like molten sunlight under the room's glow. His azure eyes were captivating, and his face was flawless, as if sculpted by the gods themselves. His spotless, smooth skin and masculine features could easily sway the heart of any maiden. Coupled with his calm and approachable demeanor, he seemed almost too perfect—dreamlike.

"Scarlet Raphiel," said the girl seated right next to him, her voice as smooth as silk. Her long, lustrous black hair framed a face so strikingly beautiful it felt surreal. Her merlot-red eyes glimmered with an almost otherworldly allure, and her porcelain skin seemed untouched by imperfection. She had an elegance that drew every gaze, her figure perfectly proportioned and undeniably captivating.

[Who are those?]

"Well, the guy's a prince. The prince of a kingdom in Falkorian Empire," Lorelle said, stretching his arms to alleviate the stiffness he felt. "The girl is his fiancée… Well, not for long, though," he added, gazing at her while strangely devoid of the overwhelming hatred that usually welled up when he looked at any of these major characters.

[Why?]

"Hey… You've been asking some shitty questions, and it's getting exhausting," Lorelle complained, his ash-white eyes glancing at the next person who stood up.

[Really? You should be grateful that instead of finding more ways to corrupt your mind, I'm having a conversation with you.]

"Boy, am I glad you didn't try corrupting me today," Lorelle shot back sarcastically.

[Just tell me already.]

"… He falls in love with some commoner named Liliana," Lorelle muttered, not bothering to elaborate further.

[So he neglects his fiancée in the process of chasing her?]

"Exactly."

[Is his fiancée a heroine?]

"… Really?" Lorelle rolled his eyes in exasperation.

[…Yeah, guess it was obvious.]

"…"

[But how about—]

The voice was about to continue when a girl with strange, vibrant pink eyes and hair stood up. The moment she did, every male in the room felt parched. They couldn't explain it, but they found themselves inexplicably drawn to her, Lorelle included.

"Liliana Creamwell," she said with a radiant smile, and many had already begun falling in love with her. She was on a level that shouldn't even exist in this world—an unnatural, overwhelming beauty that defied logic.

"Damn, she's dangerous," Lorelle muttered, finally managing to regain control over his emotions.

[A villain.]

"True and true. But one wouldn't even be able to tell with how innocent she tries to act. She intentionally made that fool fall in love with her, all for one reason and one reason alone…" He trailed off.

[...Which is?]

"Tell me how you knew about my destiny first, and you'll know more," he said, his tone dismissive.

[…]

"Then I guess it's about time I also keep my secrets."

[It's better you don't know. It's for your own good.]

"I decide what's for my own good, not you," Lorelle replied, his voice firm as he turned his attention to someone he hadn't wanted to see for years.

"Eloisa Carlien," said a girl with silken white hair tipped with blue and eyes the same cerulean shade. She was breathtakingly beautiful, her presence casting a spell over the room.

[A heroine?]

"…"

[Come on, just tell me.]

"…"

[Tch. Crazy human.]

The voice faded, leaving Lorelle staring at her with a storm of emotions he struggled to control.

'Eloisa,' he thought, guilt clawing at his chest.

"Rizel Steelburn," announced another girl with a unique beauty that rivaled the rest. Following her, another stood.

"Ariana Frosten," said the next girl, her presence equally enchanting, leaving many of the male students imagining what it would be like to share a room with one of these world-class beauties.
