Elena's POV
"Why would you do that?" A surprised Sophia questioned me when I told her about my todays boxing experience. "Thought to check my punching power.. *rolling my eyes* Off course what else should I have done??" I replied her sarcastically which she royally ignored and continued her ranting. "But now what? You lost your job, how will you pay for the rent? It's not like I don't appreciate what you did back at cafe, I'm proud of you but what would you do now?" Sophia's worries were not insignificant though and it's not like I haven't thought about it, that old man who happens to be our landlord won't even give me extension period before kicking me out.
"I'll manage something" I shrugged nonchalantly. I don't want Sophia to get worried and switch on her 'mama mode'. Yeah, She behaves like like a mom sometimes but She's love. "Stop pretending as if it didn't affected you at all" She scoffed at me. Huff! Goddd? I don't understand how can this girl just see through my facade everytime we argue.
I met Sophia after shifting over this place and we instantly clicked. She is such a sweetheart, I couldn't ask for any better friend. "You know right? I can pay for both of our rent! You don't have to worry about that old man?"
"I know Sophie, thanks for always being there for me. But, it's just that my self respect doesn't allow me for this. Why would you pay my rent when I can earn for myself? Plus we had this argument like 50 times before and you know my final answer." She just sighed knowing she can't win this argument.
"Come on Sophia! You know right that nothing is impossible for Elena Singh? I will find a new job, even better than this one. So just get me something to eat I'm famished!" "Fine, just freshen up I'm setting the table" Finally!! Who could even resist Elena Singh's puppy face?? Believe me! It works faster than Airtel 4G.

I was in my room, watching horror movie hiding myself in my blanket. I don't get scared easily owing to my life which itself is a nightmare but Goddd?? Why would anyone make this nonsense and call them scary?! And this stupid girl! What does she think of herself? A superwoman? Why can't she just stop poking her nose everywhere and stick only to her house? The girl shrieked when she saw a dead body hanging on the tree and I just shut my mobile off. I guess I'll have some good sleep rather watching that not-so-horror movie.
I turned off the lights and was just about to lie down when I saw a shadow at my window and it just vanished the next second. Okay! I guess the movie wasn't that bad as I was saying otherwise why would I imagine something like this? I'm definitely hallucinating because of those scary scenes, plus why would someone stalk me? Besides this area is safe, no thiefs can enter here due to high security. I shrugged off thinking it to be my imagination and lied down covering myself with blacket till my neck.
Afer a few minutes, I felt someone pulling the blanket off me slowly. Terrified, I held the blanket firmly in my grip and just when I tried to peek, the blanket was snatched roughly from my hold.
The same man! My nightmare! He was standing their at the foot of my bed with the same devilish smirk. Did he really came?? I don't know what to make out of this situation, I just hope this is not really happening. Who is he? What in the hell does he wants?? I don't think my boxing show would work on this handsome devil. I should probably run- Wait! Elena?? did you just call this "nightmare man" handsome? I mean okay he is hansome but.. HE IS YOUR NIGHTMARE!! Arghhh I just don't know what to do. I was busy in my own world probably talking to myself for the last time.
A sinister laugh snapped me out of my dreamland and the next moment, he was an inch apart from my face. I couldn't breathe and started gasping for air.
I woke up shrieking, sweating profusely and breathing heavily.

It's been a week since I'm trying to find a new job but unfortunately they just want someone experienced for their own profits. Goddd! How will anyone get experience if you would just refuse to hire them for someone more 'experienced'. Plus those dreams! Arghh! I just don't know what to do with my life anymore.
The dream slash nightmare this morning was a bit.. I don't know.. umm.. strikingly odd. What do they even mean? Truth to be told, I'm anxious about the outcome of these dreams. I mean, I don't know in what form they'll conjure up. What? don't tell me you think the dreams will come true by me walking in dark ally of mystery man appearing out of know where and all that? I can't even say if this is dream or nightmare. Sometimes my scariest dreams results in my favour too, but I'm not sure about this one. I just hope nothing goes wrong.
Oh well, I have interview with Mr. Malhotra today for caretaker of their house. I know, I don't have any experience regarding all this but hey! I can always learn no? And believe me or not! I'm good at leaning things nimbly. I wish this Mr. Malhotra doesn't ask for experience in this caretaker field too. God! Please I want this Job anyhow!
I was too busy in my complaining session that I didn't even notice when I reached. And when I did, trust me, I was awestruck by the site before me. This house.. no no! Mansion! This mansion is so elegant and huge. Why would they appoint someone like me to take care of this magnificent villa?? I just hope I get this job *fingers crossed*.
