Felicity
Felicity stopped dead in her tracks as she studied Perry's face to see if he was serious about what he told the person on the other end.
She sensed he wasn't, but why?
"Perry..." she said as they were stuck in a stare-down of epic proportions. Neither of them moved as if they were statues made of concrete stuck to the ground.
Finally, he spoke. "Felicity. There's so much you don't know. So much I want to tell you, but he wants you dead or it'll be me that dies."
"Who wants me dead?"
"We don't have time to discuss this right now."
"So, what, you're going to kill me?"
"No. I have another plan and it just might work."
Relief spread over her like a hot shower.
Perry walked over to her, and she started to back up. "Don't be afraid. I'm not going to hurt you. I couldn't."
