She woke up the next morning, rubbing her eyes, which ached of tiredness. Quinn shut her eyes and tried to force her mind to retreat into that classroom with the boy. In the back of her mind however her oncoming homework assignments nagged at her. She sat up drew her hangings back and got dressed. Quinn made her way down the spiral staircase and down to the great hall, following the scent of porridge. As she began to read over her empty plate the sound of the student's chatter faded into a dull buzzing noise as the character's faces became into sharper detail in her mind's eye. Just as she was getting to a good spot a hand reached around her book, covering her hand and snapped her book shut. She stood up angrily to see who on earth would prevent her from reading. A tall blonde boy stood before her dangling her book above his head tantalizingly.
"You want it bookworm? Come and get it." said Scorpius Malfoy.
Quinn stood on her tiptoes stretching as far as she could, trying to reach the book. However, when a foot nudged her she lost her balance the fell onto the idiot Malfoy, who proved very easy to knock down, and she collapsed on the ground sprawled onto him, her head resting on his chest.
"You know Eldens if you wanted to lay on me you could've just asked." he muttered slyly. Quinn stood up quickly, snatched up her book, and began walking away making sure to stomp on his hand with all the strength her body contained.
"Oh dear, it seems you won't be in any fit position to steal anymore books, how sad" Quinn said in the sickliest sweet voice she could manage. Then she marched out of the great hall, her nose in the air.
He had been resting his forehead against his plate, trying to feel again the sensation that the mysterious girl gave him, when a sudden voice echoed around the great hall.
"You want it bookworm, come and get it." said a snide voice that was all too familiar. Albus stood up angrily looking up the see a small girl stretching up to reach a book that Malfoy was holding in the air easily. He noticed Malfoy's foot nudge the girl's causing her to tumble onto him, both falling to the ground with a resounding crash. He heard Malfoy mumble something to the girl who turned pink at the words. Albus grinned widely as he heard the girl say in a resounding voice, dripping with sarcasm.
"Oh dear, it seems you won't be in any fit position to steal anymore books, how sad." He sat back down once again smiling lightly to himself, though he couldn't quite understand why the girl seemed so familiar.
