Chapter 78: 77 - Dragon Star Academy

Riding the carriage through the city and onto the city's version of a highway the traveled towards the other side of the city where the academy picked up new students.

The highway wasn't slowed with traffic allowing for quick and easy travel across the huge city.

The city space is looked compacted from above looking down, but it actually wasn't really. Instead it's just that the city was so huge and had a huge amount of planning.

Allowing for easy and quick travel for citizens and students, but don't let this trick you into thinking that all cities are like this.

Victor sat on the right side with Michael, both of them were looking at the other people travelling on the highway.

Which was quite interesting as people were travelling in all sorts of ways, from riding tamed mounts, carriages, carts, cars, trucks and more.

There was even a mage using a type of flying spell to fly right above the road.

Soon they existed the highway and traveled for anoth half an hour before arriving at an old huge church like building.

Young students could be seen entering the building, likely being new students like themselves.

Getting off the carriage, Violet payed before leading them up the stairs and into the building.

It was designed nearly the same way as a Gothic church only it was made of white marble, eliminating the depressing style and instead making the whole building have a serene atmosphere.

The double large doors were currently open allowing entry, inside the place was crowded by the other new students talking amongst themselves or walking through.

The hall was huge with tall pillars supporting the decorated cathedral ceiling, allowing for everyone to fit.

Stepping onto the black and white tiles, the three made their way towards the other side of the hall, along the way they not only passed other new students but also large and medium statues.

There were all sorts of new students from Dwarfs, Elves, Beastman, humans and more.

But there were noticeably more humans and beastman, but that wasn't all that surprising.

On the other side the hall joined a large room of the same style only there were dozens of small teleportation circles.

Standing in front of each one was a senior student directing new students while controlling the teleportation circle.

"Oh yeah that's right." Violet upon seeing the other senior students suddenly remembered something, she snapped her fingers as she dispelled an illusion she'd placed upon her self.

Her dress immediately turned into specs of magical light reviling that this whole time she had been wearing a whole another outfit.

Michael's brain paused seeing this, he couldn't understand Violet's thought process, like why would she pretend to wear a whole other outfit if she'd change it again later.

Victor on the other hand immediately noticed that her new outfit was in the same style as the other seniors, only a different colour and patterns on it.

Yes Violet was wearing the same outfit from when she went to meet her father, her school uniform.

"Ok come on." Violet said seeing Michaels Stange gaze, she was a little embarrassed from changing outfits like this, so she changed their focus.

Both boys glanced at each other before following her up to one of the senior students.

"Wait in line please, it will be your turn soon." The senior said without looking over as he was busy directing other new students.

"I'm going to borrow this." Violet said catching him off guard, he quickly looked over at Violet but when he did his eye's widened.

"Please Senior, I'll help you." He didn't complain or get angry, instead he went out of his way to help.

"Thanks." She gave him a simple small nod before standing on the magic circle with both boys.

In a flash of light the three disappeared.

"Hey, why did you let them use the teleportation circle?" Another senior student went up to him and asked.

"Why because she was a third level student." He replied with a sense of awe on his face, hearing him his classmate was shocked.

"But why would a third level senior be here?" She asked still in shock.

"I don't know, but if I'll have to guess then those two with her are probably her relatives." He said with envy in his eyes.

"Well at least this task isn't as boring as others said." The other student said with excitement on her face.

Every year when the school accepts new students, the school gives out a task for students to manage the entry of new students.

Now any other time, one of the school's caretakers would watch over this building and the students using it.

But as the new students haven't been registered yet they can't enter the school by themselves as the security measures will bar them from entering.

So the school gives out the task for students to help and make sure no one who shouldn't can't enter the school.

Of course there are other measures taken to make sure, after all there's always some who get through but none have managed to slip through the other security measures.

Reopening his eyes Victor found himself in a whole new place, as they were now in another hall much like the previous.

Only this time it was more orderly, as all the new students were lined up in one of 12 lines.

"Come on pick a line." Violet said push the both forwards. Making them both stumble and nearly fall.

Michael went to complain but held back as Victor pulled him over towards one of the lines.

The people ahead of them talked amongst each other while waiting.

"I can't wait to start learning, just imagine what we are going to learn here!" A young male beastman said, he had black hair and looked like any normal human other than the fact he had wolf ears and a tail.

"Yeah, I've heard that they have the best skill training out of all the schools!" A human girl with light brown hair replied back with stars in her eyes.

"Oh that's nothing, it's the dungeons and Labyrinths that you should be most excited about." Another beastman said, she was also a Wolf beastman but with Amber hair and was very short in height.

"Well I asked one of the seniors and he said it's the place called the Dragon's Knowledge Treasury, that we should be the most excited about." A young human male couldn't help but join the conversation.

"Really, my older sister told me that the best place in the academy is a cafe called the Dragon's Pot, apparently all the food sold is high Tier monster meat or magic plants. And the food is so good it's to die for, not to mention the benefits from eating their food." Another young girl a member of the Cat beastman clan couldn't help but drool as she spoke.

Michael upon hearing this couldn't help but swallow as he started to say dream about what such food would taste like.

Victor on the other hand compared all the the things these new students were gossiping about, trying to discern what was useful information or made up.

The lines mored quickly, especially with the joyful and excited atmosphere of everyone.

As he got closer Victor got a better view of what they were lining up for, there were 12 tables with staff or teachers behind them.

They were registering new students while making sure they were the right person.

The other thing he noticed was that the crowd was also excited when someone with a Epic or legendary class.

Finally it was Michael's turn, he stepped forwards towards the table with a kind smile on his face.

"Place your hand on the crystal." The old woman said without looking up from the computer.

Michael blinked twice before looking over the desk, there was a computer, a pile of papers, a basket of card keys and finally a crystal ball sitting on a brass stand.

Following her instructions he placed his right hand onto the crystal and waited for further instructions.

"She peaked over at the crystal ball before turning back to the computer screen.

"Full name.." she said with the same monotone and board face.

"Umm, Michael Knight." Michael scratched the back of his head as he answered, as soon as she heard the word Knight she paused.

Looking up she looked at the crystal, seeing no change she couldn't help but look Michael up and down.

"Age and date of birth.." She stared right at him as she asked.

"Oh, I'm 16 years old and I was born on 27th of July." Michael replied with a smile.

"Finally class..." She asked the final question as she checked his file's information to what he's said.

"My class is Necromancer Knight a Special Legendary class." Replied like it wasn't a big deal but he was heard by those lining up.

"That guy has a legendary class!" A girl behind Victor said with jealousy and shock in her eyes.

"That's the 11th legendary class so far!" Listening to them Victor started to get a headache, after all he didn't like crowded and loud places in the first place, so being almost shoulder to shoulder with people talking left and right.

Well this isn't a type of space Victor would ever chose to be apart of, he prefers quite and orderly area's that aren't over crowded.

"Alright, keep your hand on the crystal as you inject mana into it, as to decide your school uniform." She said before tapping on the side of the crystal.

The ball changed colour matching his mana colour, turning a black with pale blue and green.

She recorded the change in the crystal before checking his assigned dormitory.

"Your in Dormitory A, your room number is 12. Here's your key, now next!" She handed over a key card before calling for the next in line.

Michael stood there for a second confused on what to do next, luckily before he could make a fool of I'm self Violet appeared and dragged him away to near the exit.

Victor hearing that it was his turn stepped forwards coming before the desk, without being asked he placed his hand on the crystal.

Seeing this the old lady didn't say anything as she closed Michael's file and asked.

"Name?"

"Victor Wise." Hearing his name she paused giving him a look over before turning to look behind her at Michael, but seeing Violet her suspicions were proven correct.

No longer focusing on this she went right back to her job, finding Victor's file.

She asked the same questions about his age date of birth and class.

"Age 16, 14 of July, Class is Necromancer a Hidden Legendary class." Victor not wanting to be in this space any longer gave his answer straight away and quickly.

"Ok and finally please inject you mana into the Crystal." She said.

Once his mana entered the crystal it changed rapidly turning a mix of black with pale blue (whitish blue).

"Finally your in Dormitory A room 9, here's your key, oh and I must inform you that you are sharing the room, so you've got a roommate. Next!" Victor took the key card but paused when he heard her words about a roommate.
