Chapter 7: 7 - Tension & Selling Loot

"So they are fighting just over that?" Michael asked trying to get more information for the boss.

"Well apparently, this isn't the only time for this to happen today, as multiple other groups of classmates have also have had issues small and large happen. From kill stealing, stealing loot to kicking them out of a area and occupying it." He pointed at different groups as he spoke.

"Why hasn't the teachers done anything?" Victor asked causing the young man to turn in fright, only now realizing that Victor was there.

"oh ah the teachers are talking to each other trying to solve the issues but so far nothing has happened." he replied.

"Oh, so they got any evidence?" Michael once again asked looking uninterested, he wouldn't have asked in the first place if it wasn't for Victor as he didn't actually care.

"Y-yes, a classmate Jack got it on a video." He pointed out a certain student who was getting yelling at.

"Thanks for the info." Victor said before leaving in the direction of the City checkpoint.

"I can't wait to get home have a shower and sleep like there's no tomorrow." Michael spoke as he stretched his arms above his head.

"Yeah, tomorrow we'll have to get going early and go sell our stuff before getting back to hunting." Victor spoke about what they had to do tomorrow.

"Ahh man, anyway aren't we getting involved in that." Michael gestured over to the on going tension.

"Nope not our problem, right now we need to focus on the upcoming exam not some silly fights between children." Victor replied not interested in some stupid stuff not to mention that the teachers haven't done anything so there must be more too it.

And quite frankly he didn't want to get involved.

Getting through the checkpoint they moved over to the public bus stop, before taking a bus to a nearby area where they lived.

Victor and Michael's families are close and have worked and lived together for generations because of this they have grown up together and see each other more as brothers than friends.

Infact Victor and Michael are actually cousins, so you could say they are brothers. So when Victor was sent to Flora City Michael was as well.

Arriving at an apartment complex they both took the stairs up to the fourth floor before stopping at a door down the right.

Sitting close by outside was a kind old lady who was drinking tea and looking out over the city.

"oh, you boys are back, did you have fun?" She had a kind gentle smile on her wrinkled face.

"Yeah both of us got amazing classes and fought a ton of Slimes, we even managed to take down a wolf" Michael stuck his chest out and spoke with excitement.

"Oh really so you did have fun, ahh I still remember when I got my class, I was so full of excitement back then." She smiled as she thought back to that time.

"Granny Lola, after cleaning up I am making food would you like to join us?" Victor spoke as he unlocked and opened the door before entering.

"How can I say no to the amazing Victor's cooking." Her smile grew larger just thinking about Victor's cooking.

"Or I could make you something?" Michael asked.

"Do you want me to die early!? Just come and get me when the foods ready." She had a look of horror thinking of Michael's cooking.

Seeing her leave amd enter her apartment Michael scratch his cheek.

"It's not that bad right?" Seeing that everyone has left he became embarrassed before entering the opened apartment and locking the door in embarrassment.

After taking a shower Victor changed clothes before heading into the kitchen to make food.

As they had a long eventfull day, Victor wanted to celebrate so he decided to make Michael's favorite food Fried Rice with Chicken Schnitzel and some side dishes.

Preparing the ingredients Victor got to work, as Michael finished his shower and came into the living room where he started to lift weights.

Time went by quickly and the smell of cooked bacon, chicken and soy sauce spread around the apartment.

"It's nearly done! Go and get Granny Lola." Victor told Michael who had come over to take a piece of cut Schnitzel before being told off.

Michael left the apartment before coming back with Granny Lola as Victor set the table full of dishes piled high with food.

Eating together they talked about their day with Granny Lola giving her experience when she was young as well.

Finishing dinner she left allowing the boys to rest, Victor cleaned up the dishes while Michael cleaned the floor and table before going to his room.

"Sigh, it's been 6 years since I got here but it's been the a great time away from it all.." Victor spoke under his breath before going to bed as well.

Early the next day both boys got dressed and put on their equipment and grabbed their backpacks.

Before leaving and catching a bus towards the City checkpoint.

Entering one of the stores they sold all of the materials but the slime and wolf drops they got yesterday for a few hundred credits.

"We've made our first earnings." Michael smiled in excitement.

"Don't get excited yet, credits are only good for normal stuff, Gold Coins are what we want." Victor broke his excitement.

Gold Coins are the main currency for adventures, class holders and guilds. They can be earned by doing Guild missions, dungeons, selling drops, equipment and more.

Even if you had all of the Credits in the world it doesn't mean you can buy anything you want but Gold Coins can be used for anything except a few places like the military.

"Come on let's sell the rest" Victor led the way to the government building.

"You got it boss." Michael followed while looking around at all of the people that were here even so early.

Entering they walked up to a receptionist standing waiting for customers.

"Hello how can I help you?" She asked with a professional smile.

"Hi we want to sell all of this and if you could see if there are any missions for this stuff, I would be very grateful." Michael smiled and opened his and Victor's backpack.

She checked all of the slime and wolf drops before checking her computer.

"There is a mission for the Shards and the Alchemist Guild has just put out a order for Slime Cores broken and complete. So your lucky, as for the rest they can be sold to us." She smiled as she handed a tablet over.

Looking at the price Victor calculated the price according to the research he did last night.

All but the mission stuff was a bit below the market price but that was expected as they had to make money off of it and it's not like any of it was in demand.

The only reason the Alchemist Guild needed it was mostly likely because of all the new Life Classes.

Nodding his head Victor signed the transaction off and handed over all the rest of the drops before getting 16 Gold Coins and 300 Credits in return

Turning to leave Victor found that Michael had disappeared, Sighing he walked up to the Sword section on the second floor.

There he found Michael who was looking at all of the different Swords.

"You know we can't afford any of these right?" Victor tapped Michael on the head with his staff.

Victor has always been in charge when it came to money allowing them to always be ahead of their bills never worrying about them.

"Ah come on can't we just use that money we have been saving up for years?" Michael complained, they got money from the their families every once and a while, and because of Victor they have saved up quite amount.

"No you've already spent your allowance this month plus you can't buy anything good with Credits." Victor shot down Michael's idea but seeing how sad he got Victor spoke to cheer him up

"Sigh, look we've already earned 16 Gold Coins so it won't take us long before..." Checking the price of the Sword Michael wanted Victor's face started to twitch.

"...35,600 Gold.... Coins..." It took everything in him not to beat this fool, he wanted to buy a Sword that cost more money then they even have times 3!

Holding back he thought this might be a great way to get Michael motivated.

"Come on let's go, those monster won't kill themselves." Victor tiredly spoke as he left the Store.
