“Uh,” Oliver said. “Perhaps I should come back when it is not mealtime?”
“Aedan has a wicked sense of humor,” Andrew laughed at the man’s attempted humor. “Don’t worry, Oliver. It’s not suppertime yet. ”
After a round of quick, forced laughs, Brennus and Aedan made quick excuses and left the hall. Taigh mentioned he had a business trip he had to leave for and said his goodbyes before leaving as well.
This left Arras with Hoffman’s team and Oliver. Rhea noticed Arras was slightly uncomfortable around the priest and attributed this to being a vampire and being so close to a holy person. Arras would never face Oliver directly and would walk away whenever he had a chance.
“Oliver,” Arras spoke as he walked towards the main part of the manor. “Would you do us the honor of blessing our herbs and the water we use on the plants?”
