Chapter 172: Kill La Kill IF Route
~Third POV~
[Honnouji Courtyard, Sudden Death Runoff Arena]
Both Kamui wearers were transformed as Ryuko pulled out her Scissor Blades and leaped into the air. While in the air, she swings her Scissor Blade to strike down from above.
*KLANG*
Satsuki soon puts up her Bakuzan to shield himself from the Scissor Blade strike growling in an annoyed tone, "Pathetic!"
*Swooosh*
She throws her off, distancing between the two, Satsuki soon begins to rush her blade drawn preparing to attack. Satsuki goes for a thrusting strike with her Bakuzan but Ryuko returns by swinging her Scissor Blade before clashing with her weapon, launching off behind her.
*KLANG*
After landing on her feet, she continues her assault with a Spin Sword Slash. Ryuko swipes but does not connect as Satsuki speeds around her with enough momentum to unleash her attack successfully.
*Shinng*
"Ahh!"
Ryuko groaned in pain feeling cut on the mid-section, but her will wouldn't allow her to avoid Satsuki's action focusing all attention on her ignoring any pain unaware she was healing already from the wound. This didn't go unnoticed as Ragyo grinned in delight from the tower above…
*SWOOOOSH*
Rushing forward all around her Ryuko soon, finds herself being lifted by the tornado that Satsuki created. Senketsu's lower skirt part anchors her to the arena and she wildly slashes out beams in the hopes of hitting Satsuki.
*Shinng*

Each one of her projectiles missed till she finally managed to land a blow as her Life Fiber grew stronger in the life-threatening dangerous situation, she found herself in. When one projectile lands on the target, knocking her out of the tornado she touches down on the ground with a sneer.
*Swooosh*
Ryuko twirls her Scissor Blade before charging at her. But Satsuki was ready slamming her Bakuzan sheath emitting her fighting spirit momentarily pausing Ryuko from her sheer willpower.
*BOOOM*
With the short momentary pause of her fighting spirit emitted by Satsuki, she took the immediate chance as she leaped behind Ryuko and kicked her in the back of the head she regained her bearings with the pain, sending her away before she embedded her Scissors Blade to halt her momentum and charge back at Satsuki.
*Wooosh*
Satsuki proceeds to tilt her body to avoid Ryuko's swings before kicking her in the back, followed by a double kick again to kick her upwards and finishing by rushing forward with one hand on her Bakuzan once more to connect an elbow drop, sending Ryuko down to the arena as she groans in pain, "Ahhh!!"
She attempts to retaliate while Satsuki elegantly dodges around her, taking potshots with her Bakuzan much to Ryuko's frustration in an annoyed tone, "Stop... moving!"
Senketsu analyzing the situation soon spoke giving Ryuko a different approach in a serious tone, "She's anticipating you. You should anticipate her instead."
Ryuko growled as she readies her Scissor Blade in a frustrated tone, "No shit, stupid!"
*SHINNG*
Ryuko readies her Scissor Blades for an overhead slash which Satsuki avoids, only to be struck by the backswing as Ryuko drags her weapons through the ground, launching her into the air before being assaulted from all sides by her opponent.
*Shinng*

*BAM*
Satsuki gritted her teeth until she blocks using Bakuzan as a barrier to shield herself from the final swing, the force of said swing sent her crashing into the arena, and grunted in an annoyed tone, "Damn."
Ryuko lands back on the ground as the jets on her back warm up, sending her toward Satsuki while she enters a new state by combining her two forms. Soon thrusters and blades emerged from her body with a grin as it combined the blades of [Senketsu Senjin] and the jet propulsion of [Senketsu Shippu] to create a hybrid form with boosted offensive capabilities.
[SENJIN SHIPPU]
Transforming into [Senjin Shippu] form charging towards Satsuki Ryuko spoke in a confident tone, "Let's get faster. [Senjin Shippu]!"
*SWOOOSH*
Satsuki seeing Matoi changing forms adapted as her own Junketsu wriggled following her desires drawing a new form of strength. She managed to draw her sword Bakuzan in time to block Ryuko's Scissor Blades as she gloated in a confident tone, "Haha. Aww, did your mommy pack that sword for you?"
Both combatants rush through the arena, clashing blades until Satsuki manages to get a successful hit with her Bakuzan, slicing Ryuko's arm off and cutting into her waist she yelled in pain as Senketsu spoke in a serious tone, "Careful. That hurt."
The damage was quickly rendered moot what Ryuko realized was Senketsu doing but it was her genetics that repaired the wounds unaware to her replied in a tired tone, "Have a little faith!"
However, from up above seeing her regenerate Ragyo's grinned widened witnessing as she thought in a confident tone, 'That regeneration speed and their growth... truly they are both my daughters. And you are the one I lost so long ago Ryuko Matoi...'
Returning to the battle below Satsuki proceeds to perform a diagonal slash while holding out her Bakuzan, with Ryuko turning into a sawblade of red, black, and purple, before launching towards Satsuki, who follows suit clashing their blades, creating an explosion…
*BOOOOOM*
The resulting conclusion showed after the smokescreen that Ryuko was on the ground injured with her Scissor Blade embedded in the ground as she struggled to get up. On the other hand, Satsuki remained standing despite minor injuries.
Being the last one standing on top Satsuki's eyes narrowed as she asked in a cold tone looking down at Ryuko, "What's wrong, Matoi? Are you exhausted from fighting the Elite Four?"
Ryuko managed to grab her Scissor Blade as a placeholder steadily getting up as Senketsu spoke in a surprised tone, "I didn't think Satsuki Kiryuin would be this strong. If she keeps this up, it's only a matter of time before she beats us."
Satsuki continues to speak in a harsher tone to Ryuko on the ground steadily standing up and glaring her down in disappointment, "Huh! Is that all you have? How dare you challenge me and not have the will to follow through!"
Seeing no other way but being beaten Senketsu spoke in a defeated tone, "Ryuko! We better retreat!"
Ryuko grits her teeth reluctantly agreeing to see the strength difference between them in an annoyed tone standing up if not wobbly, "Crap. She's even stronger than before! I won't lose to her again. No way!!"
*Tmp*
Before Ryuko could do anything drastic Mash finally decided to intervene in a defeated tone sighing out loud and placing a hand over her shoulder, "Sigh… come on Gear Eyes time to call it quits for today. Alright, Satsuki I bow out of this competition."
Ryuko wanted to argue but before she could her transformation finally wear off. She could only reluctantly accept this leaving. But at the very least Ryuko felt a sense of relief that Mash was watching her back as they left making Rui, Nui, and Kagyo blink confused by the boy's actions and Satsuki's lack of action.
As they were too stunned to notice Junketsu wriggled in fear of being near Mash's presence that didn't go unnoticed by Satsuki raising an eyebrow at this development in a confused tone, 'Did Junketsu get stronger by being near Bastion? It did feel I grew stronger wearing Junketsu when the battle prolonged itself... is it possible that a single being's presence makes the Life Fibers adapt no - evolve?'
Satsuki narrowed her eyes at this theory deciding to review her hypothesis at a later date. Ragyo along with her crew stepped into the arena as she spoke in a curious tone, "That was quite an interesting performance."
Satsuki had her eyes closed relieved seeing Mash intervene saving Matoi without having to end her in a stoic tone answering her mother's question, "No. I apologize for wasting your time."
Nui on the other hand had her gazed lingering at the duo leaving as she spoke in a cheerful tone, "After that, I'm suuuuper-interested in that cute Ryuko girl. Oh, and her darling Kamui, too!"
Satsuki soon reverted to her normal state grinning before returning to her stoic mask in a neutral tone, "I shall deal with Ryuko Matoi and her Kamui. Meddle in my affairs again and Gran Couturier or not, I'll show you no mercy."
Nui simply shrugged not caring much with Ragyo watching as Satsuki continued gazing at the sky above in a serious tone, "Thanks to the Naturals Election, preparations are complete. Soon we shall embark on the Tri-City Schools Raid Trip. But I suppose it's fair to warn you… mess with Matoi and even I won't save you from his wrath Nui."
This made the three girls pause as Ragyo raised an eyebrow immediately interested in her comment in a curious tone, "Interesting… I hope to hear good news upon your return. And who exactly is the one Nui should be wary of offending."
For a moment, Satsuki almost smiled before she stoically replied in an honest tone the person they shouldn't trifle with, "The man I took an interest in and hopefully be my Vice-President right hand. Mash Bastion. The only man powerful enough to best both I and Matoi wearing a Kamui without donning one himself. The one I would mold to shape my very needs."
Ragyo gazed at Satsuki's expression with a stunned look startling her daughter. But soon turned to leave giving her blessings with a sly grin on her face on a sardonic tone, "Oh… to think my daughter(s) would find the same man to be interested in courting. You truly are my daughter wanting to claim, control, or dominate. Fufufu… you have my blessings, young lady."
Nui and Rei looked stunned by the news looking at Satsuki and Ragyo. Ragyo on the other hand grew extremely curious as Rei and Nui followed her.
When they were away from earshot distance from Satsuki Ragyo finally spoke in an excited tone startling Nui by her orders, "Nui… please be a dear and not antagonize my long-lost daughter Ryuko Matoi. Be sure to do everything you can to help her till the promised day arrives."
Caressing her face Nui enthusiastically agreed in a happy tone, "Oh… okay Lady Ragyo…"
Soon she gave another order to Rei listening intently following her every command in a soothing tone licking her lips, "And Rei find everything you can about my daughter's suiter. I wish to know and possibly taste what my girls find interesting in this man Mash Bastion."
Rei nodded her head agreeing as they began to leave for their own business. However, Ragyo was extremely curious about the man who captured both her daughter's hearts with a curious and hungry expression.
Once again let it be known that when a Kiryuin's eye catches something that interests them, they will never stop until they know everything about and perhaps possess, said something because it seems that it runs in the family of the Kiryuins.

[Honno City, One-Star District]
Meanwhile, Ryuko was on Mash's back having been too exhausted in a tired tone leaning on his back with a light blush on her face, "Sorry for asking you to do this. Fucking hell this is embarrassing…."
Mash simply smiled grabbing her by the ass and lifting her as she leans her melons behind his back commenting in a casual tone, "No worries. It's not every day a guy carries a cute girl on his back. But jokes aside though how are you feeling?"
Ryuko had her face shadowed by her hair looking down with a tear escaping her face bitterly replying in a frustrated tone, "It fucking hurts… I was so close. So close to finding out the truth but… fuck…"
She leaned her head closer to his back as she muttered in a defeated tone tears slowly trailing down her face, "I lost badly… and it hurts because I screwed up getting my one chance to know what happened to my father but… but…"
Soon she stopped feeling her head being patted with Mash smoothly replied in a reassuring tone comforting her woes, "Shh… it's alright. Just this once use my shoulder to cry your worries away. It's okay to lose occasionally. You just must stand up and try again but just this once it's okay to feel this weak and let out your worries. I'm here for you no matter what Ryuko."
That did it. It made Ryuko finally cry onto his shoulder the loss and defeat she felt under Satsuki for a moment a normal girl crying her worries and issues. With a friend to be by her side instead of the loneliness she's used to.
For once Ryuko felt vulnerable but also secured having someone like Mash watching over her. In this moment she knew what it was like to have friends she could rely upon in her times of need.
For once she felt at peace with the boy, she loved assisting her and being by her side every step of the way never feeling alone again at least for today. She tightened around him not wanting to let go till she felt secure allowing one moment to be a normal girl wanting attention from the person she loves.
