Chapter 68: Chapter 68: Daily Life

The CP organization was spread far and wide across the seas, claiming to infiltrate every corner.

However, in their haste, they had only managed to gather information about Rosinante and the others arriving in the town of Spidamairuz in Lafar Kingdom. They had just defeated the largest local gang and become an emerging force in the area. They hadn't even traced the "Pinta" ship, let alone the identities of Rosinante and Doflamingo as Celestial Dragons.

In the perception of most people in this world, the Celestial Dragons, who had ruled the world for eight centuries and were considered the kings of kings, were almost like "gods." Combined with the Holy Land's suppression of information, the CP3 agents hadn't even considered that they were about to deal with Celestial Dragons. This was a situation far more unbelievable than enjoying barbecue at a roadside stall and having a skewer with a national leader.

"I've already contacted the Navy,"

The cold and indifferent senior agent in the black suit gathered the others, naturally having a plan for their next move.

"Once the Navy's ships take us to Spidamairuz, we'll coordinate with the local government and eliminate these troublemakers as well as the queen of Akankaria."

While Rosinante's group might be able to withstand the White Dragon Pirates, that didn't mean they could withstand manipulation, poisoning, seduction... CP would use every means possible.

"Then we'll re-plan an operation to 'warn' the Entagray Alliance: simple-minded pirates who are easily controlled can be found everywhere on the high seas."

"The key is speed. If a judgment is passed on us from above, it will be too late for everything."

"Yes!"

The agents in the room instinctively stood up straight, hands behind their backs.

This was related to their lives. They had no choice but to give it their all. "Let's go."

...

Meanwhile, the Donquixote ship was sailing on the open sea.

After wandering around, Jora found her way to the captain's quarters. Facing Rosinante, Doflamingo, and the others, she couldn't help but hold her forehead.

"Forgive me for being so forward, but do you live in such an environment?"

"I think it's okay... maybe..."

As Jora reached out and touched the wall, turning her index finger gray, Rosinante's gaze wandered.

"And what about this?"

After speaking, she pulled a flute from her long skirt and brought it to her lips, playing soft notes.

With the melodious sound of the flute, rustling noises were heard. Countless rats crawled out from under the deck, the gaps in the walls, and even the ceiling.

This flute that controlled rats was from Grimm's Fairy Tales—The Pied Piper of Hamelin.

"If it's about regular hygiene, then fine. But what's with all these rats?"

"Rats can clean up rotting food, right?"

Rosinante's explanation was starting to run thin.

He and Doflamingo hardly cared about their living environment, as they had lived in junk heaps and ship cabins before.

The Torreball Four were also quintessential 'manly men.' They only bathed once a week at most, and their clothes were cleaned along with their baths by being stepped on with their feet.

Their individual hygiene was so "relaxed" that public hygiene was beyond mention.

"With your physical condition, ordinary dirt and mess wouldn't cause much impact. But rats, they carry all sorts of diseases. Don't you mind eating food that rats have crawled over?"

Jora raised this issue for the sake of everyone's health.

Moreover, it was time for Rosinante and the others to tidy up. After all, they were leaders of a large faction that influenced the lives of over ten thousand people. Their appearance still mattered.

"Isn't it the same for everyone sailing on the sea?"

Rosinante had no words to retort. Trafalgar Law stepped in to argue with Jora.

"Hey, I mean, aren't the ships of those pirates even dirtier and messier than ours? Even the ships of sea merchants wouldn't be cleaner than ours—"

"Alright, Trafalgar Law."

Rosinante raised his hand to stop Trafalgar Law's 'arguing.' While the six men (boys?) hadn't really noticed before, after Jora's words, they realized that the ship they had captured from the Jetei Family did indeed need a good cleaning.

"Today, let's clean this ship from top to bottom. Doflamingo, how about a little competition?"

"Oh, a competition about what?"

"Catching rats—"

"Jora, you can be the referee."

Afterwards, Rosinante pointed at the rats that had been attracted by Jora's flute.

"Let these rats go. They'll be our props for the competition."

"Alright,"

As Jora waved her hand, the rats that had been drawn by her flute's sound immediately scattered upon discovering the several terrifying 'bipedal giant beasts' around them.

"Hey, let's clean the deck."

Trafalgar Law turned to Diaamante, Vergo, and Pica.

"How about we make a bet? The winner will be decided by the area they clean—"

"Tsk,"

Before Vergo and Pica could say anything, Diamante, who had spent the most time with them, exposed Trafalgar Law's trick.

"Are you planning to use your sticky ability to sweep away the trash, huh?"

...

"We didn't say that using Devil Fruit abilities was prohibited in the competition, right—Doflamingo, Rosinante?"

"Of course,"

Rosinante and Doflamingo, who had both activated their abilities, were already at the door of the captain's quarters.

"Since it's a competition, we naturally have to go all out. No holds barred."

"Silent Heart!"

Standing at the door, Rosinante closed his eyes. His Silent ability eliminated distractions, and his Kenbunshoku Haki was fully activated. However, sensing and capturing small animals like rats with basic Kenbunshoku Haki was still a bit challenging.

"Perception Network!"

Doflamingo extended his hands, and transparent threads shot out from his ten fingers, spreading along the deck, walls, and ceiling. Through these threads, he sensed vibrations and located the rats on the ship.

There they are! x2

Having found their targets, the two of them rushed out of the captain's quarters, leaving behind a bewildered Jora.

Wait, wait, weren't we supposed to clean the ship and practice personal hygiene? How did it turn into a battle of abilities?

"Hehe, do you see how formidable Doflamingo and Rosinante are now?"

Trafalgar Law adjusted his round-topped hat and looked smug beneath his sunglasses.

"They're not only born 'kings,' but they also practice their Devil Fruit abilities in their daily lives. Even catching rats can become a battle for them!"

"Our Donquixote Family is destined to stand at the pinnacle of the world. You're really lucky to be able to join us..."

"Born 'kings'?"

With a thoughtful expression, Jora raised her delicate jade hand and pointed to the side.

"Let's not discuss that for now. But compared to your boasting, the others have already started."

"Huh? You guys actually started without me!"

A tearful Trafalgar Law shouted. While he was talking, Vergo and Pica had already begun silently cleaning the deck.

"Darn it, watch this—"

"Mucus Sweep!"

What a group of lively youngsters.

After a few days of being together, Jora gradually integrated into their lives. She witnessed the efforts of Rosinante and the others:

Every morning, they began swinging heavy exercise equipment; after intense training, they would sit in meditation, emptying their minds to comprehend Kenbunshoku Haki; then they focused on developing their Devil Fruit abilities...

In a day of 24 hours, aside from sleep and ship navigation, all they did was exercise.

"Well then, I'll help clean the cabins too."

Seeing everyone drenched in sweat again and enthusiastically cleaning the ship with a "battle" mentality, the elegant lady also began her workout after a long time.

And her focus during training was, of course, her Devil Fruit ability.

Picking up an oil lamp on the captain's table, Jora used her five fingers to transform the lamp's ordinary light into a mysterious lantern emitting an eerie blue flame.

Waving her hand, Jora transformed the paper on the table into tobacco and lit it with the blue flame. In the ethereal smoke, a small figure with dark skin appeared out of thin air and landed on the deck. Afterward, it doffed its hat and saluted Jora.

"Madam, how may I assist you?"

"To you, I'm at your service."

Though capable of speech, this small creature was essentially a product of her ability. It possessed a certain level of intelligence but was sufficient for performing simple tasks.

"Help me clean the hold."

"Very well, madam."

Upon receiving the command, the dark-skinned little figure seemed to 'sink' into the floor.

It went directly from the deck downwards, passing through the second floor where Rosinante and the others resided, the third and fourth floors laden with cargo, and then emerged holding a bucket from the outer hull of the Donquixote Family's ship. After dipping the bucket into the seawater and sloshing it around, it disappeared back inside.

The lamp that could summon the loyal little figure was from Grimm's fairy tale "The Blue Light."

The 'Art' Devil Fruit was undoubtedly a very powerful one!

Theoretically, abilities like the one to concretize drawn objects into reality through the Brush-Brush Fruit, or the ability to conjure a 'Lamp Deity' from steam with the Steam-Steam Fruit, were lower-tier versions of the Art Fruit.

If she could develop it to concretize top-tier items from those fairy tales: the all-knowing Magic Mirror, the Fountain of Youth that extended life significantly, the Sure-Hit Rifle, the Boots that allowed instant transportation...

Even if she couldn't achieve the original story's power, as long as she mastered the three Haki types, she could become one of the top contenders on the Grand Line!

Unfortunately, as a queen, Jora spent most of her time either handling politics or looking after orphans. Even with a Devil Fruit power, her strength would only be around the 40 million Berries bounty range.

Being able to spar with Bartholomew Kuma, the "Tyrant," was due to the support of the "Encourage-Encourage Fruit."

"How can I enhance the power of these items?"

After stepping down from the position of queen and joining the Donquixote Family, Jora found herself motivated to have more time for training. She began to study and develop her abilities, including:

"The Color of Arms" that Little Rosinante often mentioned—how exactly should it be practiced?"

---

A dozen days later,

With chimneys dotting the landscape and factories spread across, the town of Spadarmairos, appeared on the horizon.

"Though this journey had a few twists, we've finally reached our destination."

On their way to Odyssey, the Donquixote Family's ship almost fought its way there. Upon arriving at their destination, they even had a fierce clash with the Pirate Alliance, witnessing the true power of "strong individuals."

Throughout this journey, even Rosinante couldn't guarantee absolute safety. His battle with Bartholomew Kuma had nearly ended in disaster.

But battles were the best form of training. With his mastery of Kenbunshoku Haki, Rosinante could defeat his self from a month ago with ease.

On their return, the Donquixote Family's ship faced no hardships. At sea, the sight of this massive, heavily-armed merchant ship made not only other merchant vessels but even pirates flee at the sight!

The name of the "Donquixote Family" was already becoming well-known in the North Blue.

"Broo-broo, broo-broo~~"

At this moment, the sound of a Den Den Mushi (phone snail) rang out. Doflamingo took out the Den Den Mushi from his pocket.

"This is 'Gear Number,' and I am Captain Lopes—"

"Donquixote Family's ship, Doflamingo."

As the voice sounded from the Den Den Mushi, an image of a mustached, well-dressed captain appeared in Rosinante and the others' minds.

"Alright, give me a moment,"

After the sound of a closing door, the voice that had been feigning dignity suddenly turned to a pleasing tone.

"Sorry, sorry, there were many people outside just now."

"Allow me to navigate for all of you. Please follow me."

On the nearby sea surface, a warship belonging to Spadarmairos Town slowly approached.
