Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Treason

Thea's POV

"What do you think you are doing?" I ask Hudson as I stare in shock at him down on one knee in front of me.

"Well, that's not exactly the response a man hopes for when he proposes," Hudson laughs to himself. "I am proposing to you, Thea. You heard what I told the Alpha. You will be considered part of the pack if you get married to one of the members."

Hudson gets off of the ground and dusts the dirt off of his pants.

"No one else was willing to marry you, so it's not like you have any other options."

The anger boils up in my chest, and I reach out and shove my hands into his rock-hard chest. Hudson does not even react, which makes me even angrier, so I shove him again.

"You jerk! It's not like I want to marry anyone here anyway. I just want to get back to my life. I want everything to go back to the way it was before I got wrapped up in all of this!" I nearly scream at him as I continue to hit my palms into his chest.
