Chapter 32: Bait

Thea’s POV

The morning sun creeps through the windows of the tiny cottage, waking me up from a restless night of sleep. I spent the entire night running through different ways I could help Hudson reach his goal of becoming the next Alpha. 

The remnants of our shared kiss from the night before still linger in the air, adding a subtle layer of excitement to the quiet space. I slip from the bed, my feet hit the warm wood floorboards, and I wrap the quilt around my shoulders before making my way through to the kitchen

As I move about, movement outside draws my attention to the window. Through the sheer curtains, I catch a glimpse of Hudson approaching. It is as if there's a magnetic pull, and I can't help but pause, my eyes fixated on his figure in the distance.
