Chapter 276: A New Friend

Regan's frown went deeper when he saw Peri but he didn't say anything just because of Evelyn. However, he remembered that it was Peri who gave these suggestions to Evelyn.

On the other hand, Evelyn was surprised to see Peri as well.

"Peri, you also woke up?"

Peri smiled as she walked to Evelyn and said

"Yes. I thought of seeing the gifts once and ensuring that everything is alright. I would never want anyone to humiliate you if anything went wrong."

Evelyn felt touched by these words and smiled softly, however, Regan continued to frown.

"Who will dare to humiliate my wife?"

He asked coldly and Peri got startled. She didn't know what she should say as she looked at Regan's cold eyes.

His silver mask only added a new fear inside her heart but she gathered her courage and tried to answer.

"Your Highness…I just…Evelyn is my friend. There will be many people in the banquet today so…"
