It's been almost a month since Draco and I snuck out to Hogsmeade for a picnic, Also known as the night I truly fell for him. Ever since then, Draco's been leaving little romantic sayings on pieces of parchment taped to just about anything.
A few examples:
.
Or
And my personal favorite
Who knew he could be so dang romantic?
Today was Halloween. In some cases, it's a very special day. And in other cases, it's an awful day.
I glanced at Harry from across the table, "Harry, how are you?"
He knew what I meant. He knew I didn't mean it as a light friendly conversation starter. He knew I was concerned.
He smiled, "Honestly? Not so good."
Ginny sat next to him, holding his hand. They smiled at each other.
"I'll make it. Because I've got amazing friends with me."
I grinned.
"Yeah, Mate. We're here for you," Ron said.
I glanced at the Slytherin table and saw a very annoyed Draco. Blaise was next to him with a wild look in his eyes. He must've been explaining something because he was talking really fast and using hand gestures. Draco smirked when he caught me staring. I jumped a little and blushed, trying to pretend I was listening to Harry and Ron's conversations and eating.
He said.
I rolled my eyes, .
He laughed, I blushed, flustered.
He grinned, .
I stuck my tongue out at him because I didn't have a good enough comeback.
He chuckled, .
I rolled my eyes, but smiled broadly into my pumpkin juice.
I saw Ginny smirking at me and Harry eyeing Draco and I.
I heard something slam onto the table next to me and looked up to see a red faced Ron.
"Would you two stop making everyone else uncomfortable!?"
Everyone's attention turned to us. Luckily, it was early in the morning and hardly anyone was in the Great Hall, no Hufflepuffs, a couple Ravenclaws, a few Slytherin, and quite a few Gryffindors.
I glared at him, "Honestly Ron, sit down. You're making a big deal out of nothing."
He shook his head, "No! . I'm going to sit down."
I stood up, "Honestly, Ronald. You're acting like a child!"
He gasped, "Oh, acting like a child."
I rolled my eyes, " I believe I just said that, yes."
"the one who's acting like a child! Giggling with . The same that punched in the face ago!"
I glared daggers at him, he gulped.
"Well you know what? People change. Draco changed into a polite, loving person. And the reason I punched him was because he was acting like a spoiled . You changed too! But you changed for the worst. You're just jealous."
He laughed, "!? Of who!?"
"Draco and I!"
Ron rolled his eyes, "Why would I be jealous of !?"
I laughed, "Oh please, I see it in your eyes. You're envious of our love. You wish that you could rub Lavender in my face like you did so many years ago! But guess what, Ron! I'm happy! And there is you can do to change that," tears began and I wiped at them furiously.
It was silent. Ron was trying to come up with a comeback, but that's just it. He couldn't. So he did what Ron does best, insults me, "Well at least my soul mate isn't afraid of a little ."
I gasped.
I had confessed to Ron months ago that I was afraid of going to that extent with him. I had a fear of intimacy. I turned to Draco and he didn't look shocked, in fact... he looked .
I glared at Ron through my tears, "How you?"
I blindly ran out of the Great Hall.
I found a nice comfortable corner on the third floor and had myself a nice cry. I heard several people pass so I pulled out a book and pretended to read so that no one asked questions.
I was almost out of tears, and had to start using a drying charm on my book when I heard someone sigh.
I looked up to see Draco leaning casually against the castle wall, examining his knuckles. I stood up and immediately flung myself into his arms.
He sighed and put his arms around me laughing.
I pulled back, wiping another tear away and said, "What are you laughing at?"
He shrugged, "Well... I believe Potter's checking Weasel into the infirmary."
I gave him a look, "What did you do?"
He grinned, "Oh it wasn't just me."
I frowned, "What?"
He nodded, a grin on his face, "We beat him up pretty good."
I shook my head, feeling clueless. And that's not my favorite feeling. "Back up, who's ?"
He grinned and counted them off on his fingers, "Me... Weaselette.... Blaise... Seamus... Dean.... And... Nott," He made an face and said, "And Potter was sitting along the side observing... cheering." Draco frowned, "To be quite honest I didn't know who he wanted to die. But he didn't stop us... so I guess he wanted to die..."
Draco frowned again and shook his head, "Damn, that boy that lived is confusing."
I laughed and hugged him, "Trust me, I know."
He laughed and kissed my forehead, "I love you."
I sighed into his chest, "I love you too."
