Chapter 2: The Journey Begins
Lyra woke up early the next morning, her heart beating with excitement. Today was the day she would begin her journey beyond the valley. She dressed quickly and made her way to the edge of the forest, where she was supposed to meet the mage who had summoned her.
As she waited, she gazed out at the world beyond her valley, taking in the sights and sounds of the wild. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a warm glow over the trees and mountains. She heard the chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves in the breeze.
Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned to see the mage standing behind her, his cloak billowing in the wind. "Are you ready to begin?" he asked.
Lyra nodded eagerly. "Yes, I am."
The mage smiled. "Good. Our first stop is the Forest of Shadows."
As they set out on their journey, Lyra felt a mixture of excitement and trepidation. She had never ventured beyond her valley before, and she knew that the world outside was full of unknown dangers.
