Dr. Mason couldn't take his eyes off Francesca's reflection in the mirror.

"I'm so glad you like it," he told her as his moves combing her hair, began to slow down without taking his eyes off hers.

"It's been days now that the comb has been waiting for you in the drawer until you find it and take it in your hands. If only knew how much anxiety and longing this comb was waiting for you." He emphasized his words, and Francesca got in suspicions that Dr. Mason didn't mean precisely the comb but himself.

Was it possible to say such a thing to her without a trace of morality? After knowing that Francesca was married and her husband was there with her in the tower?

Francesca and her husband lived together in the small stone-house he had the kindness to offer them, and now what?

"Why…? Why did you buy me a comb?" she asked, still looking at him in the mirror.

"Because… I wanted it." He replied, and Francesca remained pensive for a while.
