Hidden Clouds Continent.
Rowel Empire.
Magus Origin King City.
In the servant quarter of the City lord castle, in a standard servant house, a beautiful woman had a pained expression and was breathing with difficulty. Despite her pale complexion, she was still stunning with her cyan blue pupils.
Her facial features were exquisite, slim arched brows, phoenix-like eyes, beautiful cherry lips. She was Layla Mallari the chief of the Mallari clan's daughter.
She was of high birth, a noble. Her childhood was very good, filled with laughter and adoration from her father and mother. Despite not being able to wield magic, she was still very loved by her clan. As she grew up she became more and more beautiful, to the point where she was hailed as the most beautiful woman of Magus Origin City.
But things took a turn for the worse when one day her clan was wiped out of the surface of the world by a mysterious person. His identity could not be determined but witnesses said that he descended from the sky like a god, he was wearing blue robes with a hood that covered his face. His words were:
« You've gone against someone you shouldn't have, receive retribution. »
He waved his hand and muttered unintelligible words. When his chant was finished the atmosphere became cold as numerous ice swords started condensing out of nowhere. Thousands of swords appeared in the sky before falling on the clan, it was a one-sided assault, it was not a fight, it was a slaughter. A while after when the cold mist dissipated all that was left was ruins filled with blood. Fortunately, Layla was not present that day, she had visited her friend. When she came back and saw the ruins, it is rumored that she didn't shed a tear that day, only her lustrous black hair became completely white.
Of course, she tried to get revenge but she was weak and unable to wield magic. She could only seek help somewhere else. In this difficult moment, she turned to her childhood friend the young lord of the City Rolland Karl. Everybody in the city knew how taken he was with Layla, much to the despair of other young ladies of the reputable family. He was THE BEST bachelor of the city, being recognized as a genius since young he was a peak grade one magician at 18, he was also proficient in other scholarly arts. So it was not surprising that he's was targeted by the ladies. Unfortunately, Layla didn't feel anything for him except friendship. When he confessed years ago he was rejected but had apparently taken it in stride, they stayed a friend.
So when Layla sought his help people expected that he would gladly oblige, they were right but there was a catch. The City lord at the time Rolland's father, Jason Karl posed a condition to their assistance. He asked her to marry his son if she expected any help from them, as she didn't have the same stuff she had before she could only pay them this way. People looked at his actions with contempt but they couldn't say a word due to his high status. He was the grandson of one of the seven kings of the Empire directly under the Emperor. Layla felt dismayed by this proposal but she was still clouded by revenge and she felt that Rolland was her friend it wouldn't be that bad to become his wife, she eventually accepted.
The first year of their marriage was not bad, Rolland was happy and Layla felt that it wouldn't be long before the culprit behind the deaths of her kin was apprehended as Rolland kept reassuring her. But as time passed, she realized that she has been told a lie, there was no effort in place to capture the individual, she became more and more disillusioned with her husband and his father's promise. One day she uncovered the truth behind the destruction of her clan by inadvertently listening to a conversation between Jason and one of his loyal servants. They were responsible for the slaughter, it seemed that the love Roland had for her was more devious than she thought, bordering on obsession. After her rejection all those years ago he was crushed and couldn't focus on continuing his cultivation. A fact which annoyed and worried his father for a while, so he tried to force a marriage by using his status and imposing it on Layla's clan, but her father rejects them repeatedly as he wanted to follow the will of his beloved daughter. Jason was angry but could do nothing about it publicly. Eventually, he stopped his attempt but the relation between the two parties became sore. One day Rolland had come to his office and put his knees on the ground begging his father to help him get her by any means necessary. His father wanted his son to start cultivating so he could do well at the noble gathering at the capital sought advice from his grandfather who doted heavily on him, the Dark King Bertrand. He gave him one of his subordinates to accomplish this task, for a ruthless king like him a small clan like the Mallari was nothing with of mention, additional he was coveting the benefits of the winner of the next noble gathering.
And so her clan was destroyed. After obtaining this information, Layla was despondent for a while. When she regained her spirit she concocts a plan to get revenge. She poisoned both father and son dinner with the most vicious poison she could find. Unfortunately, they both had high attainment in magic, which meant small tricks like that were only useful on mortals, they merely felt dizzy. Realizing what she did Jason was pissed off, he locked her in the dungeon, even Rolland's love' for her turned sour and dark, he begged his father to free her and leave her to him. His father couldn't be bothered and agreed.
From this moment her life was hell on earth she suffered all kinds of humiliations daily, was treated worse than a servant, in fact, she was even cast out from the castle into a servant house. Rolland remarried the daughter of a prominent family which gave him a son Joseph. He let out on his treatment of Layla, who knew if it was because of his love for her or him being busy with his new family. Unfortunately, his new wife and son didn't feel the same way they constantly persecuted her.
Five years after his marriage, a day when he was drunk and reminiscing bitter about the first perfect year with Layla after their wedding. He lost his mind and raped her.
Her current circumstance is the result of this vile act. She was giving birth.
« My lady hang on, push a little more » It was a servant girl that was helping her give birth. Despite the way she was treated by the masters of this castle she was quite loved by the servant, because of her kindness to them, when she was wed to Rolland.
« I know... I know Mary, promise me that you'll get him out of this wretched place as soon as he's born » her eyes shining with determination and love. Yes, love because she loved her kid, she thought at first when she found out she was pregnant that she would abhor that thing growing inside her but as she grew close to the birth date she found that her feeling had changed she loved him, she didn't care that he was the child of that bastard.
« My lady doesn't speak like that you'll be able to take him out yourself » the servant answered sadly.
« I know myself, Mary, I won't make it pass giving birth to him, you've got to promise me, I spent these years in depression, I didn't take very good care of my health I won't be able to live to pass this. »
« Alright, I promise you. » a tear escape from her eye.
« Thank you Mary. » she smiled a bit and went for the last push.
*WEHEHEHEHEHEHHE*
The cry of a newborn resounded from the small servant house.
Inside, a baby with incredibly beautiful blue eyes looked around curiously. Its eyes were filled with intelligence. It could see a woman's face full of tears, but with a serene expression and a girl crying.
« Your name is Neon Mallari, live a good life my son… » she whispered while she expired. The baby was taken from Layla by Marie she cried as she said.
« Don't worry My lady I will take him out of this place. » a determined expression settled on her face. She didn't notice that the baby stop crying a while ago and even looked somber.
'The f*ck is this? I regain a new life and my new mother lost hers? Come god or heaven I promise I won't beat you!'
