I felt a tear drop and I rushed to wipe it off my face. I didn't want him to know how his words hurt me. It felt like a knife was stuck in my chest. Bethany was right. She was right all along. I should have just accepted his rejection. Then I wouldn't have to hear him say these vile things to me.

Another year rolled out of my eyes and my heart pounded wildly in my heart. I watched as Jason's eyes softened as he watched the tears roll out of my eyes.

"Leo, I didn't mean that." He said as he tried to touch me but I moved back. He meant every single word. "Leonora." I shook my head and turned around to walk away. I felt his hand on mine as he pulled me. He walked out of the room, pulling me along with him. I noticed it was starting to get dark outside. I didn't even notice because Jax had all my attention.
