Chapter 1: Chapter 1
Celine's POV
I stared at the black pitch mask used to cover my face,I was being sold again and for some unknown reason my handler had me blindfolded. I wasn't scared I had been through a lot these five years, instead I had hoped that wherever I'm being taken would be better than the hell I was leaving.
The car came to a halt and I was dragged out,a man with a deep husky voice assisted me into another car and I presume we were changing destination but why? I became thirsty and requested for water.
"Wa-t-er please." My voice came out hoarse and rough.
"Boss she's thirsty." The man beside me spoke to one of the men in the car.
The boss gave the man a positive reply and he helped me with the water without taking the blindfold off.
I missed my wolf Rose,in a dire situation like this she would voice out and help me navigate my way. She was broken when trying to save me five years ago,and now I can't feel her again. It is impossible for me to find my mate without her.
I missed the girls at the black market. We all had planned how to escape before I was being sold. I pray they will be able to carry it out successfully.
"We are here." The man who I guess was driving said.
"Take care of the girl, I've important matters to attend to." The boss said.
"Yes Sir." The men echoed in unison.
The man beside me took me out of the car and waited for the car to leave before removing the blindfold.
"Where am I?" I shielded the rays of the sun with my palm and my gaze met the man beside me.
"Let's go" He held my arm and walked forward.
We were surrounded by tall trees, and I could say we were in the forest. Is he trying to kill me? I heard the Boss say that he should take care of me. So this is what he meant?
"Stop it!"
"Wh-a-t?" I stammered,now I was scared.
"I can smell your fear." He replied calmly.
"What do you mean by," What you are a werewolf?" I frowned.
"Yes." The man replied.
"Ohh what's going to happen to me now,are you going to kill me?"
"What do you think?" The man winked at me and continued to walk.
"I don't think so." I smiled at him,for whatever reason I feel the moon goddess is giving me a chance.
We got to a small cabin and the man took me to a small room to settle in. He gave me some instructions before leaving,I had my bath and changed my tattered dress. The bed was soft. It has been ages since I slept on a bed.
"Hey, wake up."
"Hey" I felt a slight tap on my arm and my eyes fluttered open.
"I sat upright and apologized to the man."
"It's nothing,I made you this, you must have been hungry." He said as he pushed the tray of food slightly towards me.
"For me?" I accepted the tray and tasted the mouth watering meal that I was being served.
Tears welled up in my eyes and I wiped the drip of tears that trickled down my cheek.
"Are you crying?"
"No,the food is um just delicious." I sniffed.
"It seems it tastes bad." He tried to take the tray away.
"No it's not bad!" I stopped him.
"Then why?" He was confused.
"I haven't had food like this in years,we aren't served like this in the black market,I was just being emotional." I laughed.
"What's your name?" He asked.
"Celine."
"Celine." He tasted my name on his lips.
"What's your name? I can't keep calling you Mr werewolf ." I laughed and he shrugged.
"Call me Steel." He answered.
"Steel thank you for this heart warming meal." I smiled at him.
Steel and I chatted for some time,he didn't treat me like trash. He was a nice man. He said something about us going for an offering ceremony which I doubted. The last time I checked werewolves didn't indulge in ceremonies like that. Contemplating about it I found myself dozing off.
"Wow this place is massive!" I exclaimed as Steel and I walked into the hall where the offering ceremony was held.
"Yes it is, the Dark moon pack is huge so we definitely have lots of buildings like this." Steel replied.
I came to a halt realizing what he had just said "Did you just say the Dark moon pack?"
"Yes,ohh you were blindfolded so you wouldn't know. We're in the dark moon pack."
"I'm in the dark moon pack!" I was fidgeting remembering the events of 5 years ago.
"So you are a lycan?" I stepped back away from him.
"Relax Celine, you're safe." Steel assured me as he took my hands and led me to a seat.
"Thank you." I stifled a smile at him, I need to get away from here as soon as possible.
"Who bought me Steel?" I couldn't pinpoint the whole matter if they had found out my identity I wouldn't be alive.
"You will know very soon." Steel replied.
"It's the man you call Boss isn't it?"
"Yes." Steel nodded as he took a glass of wine that was being served by the waiter.
Whoever the Boss is,I know one thing for sure and that is I'm not safe here.
Just then the announcer announced the presence of the tyrant they call their King,we all stood up in reference I scoffed at the disposition of the pack members the fear was evident and that was when I caught sight of him and I felt a tingling sensation and the intoxicating scent of potent blend of cedarwood and musk. My whole body tensed up. He was now looking at me. The captivating scent made me shiver.
"Mate Mate Mate!" Rose, who had been dormant for years, giggled and came to the surface.
"Celine he's mine,I want him now!" Rose was now using the authoritative tone,she took control.
And that was it, my canine protruded and I growled loudly, shocking the entire pack members.
