Chapter 249: YOU'RE FIRED!

Raine was looking out through the window of the car when she saw from afar a familiar building. It was the Donovan building.

"Bring me to the Donovan Company." Raine said to the driver.

"But Miss, I was ordered to bring you back home." The driver refused her in an instant.

Raine frowned when she heard the rejection. "I said I want to go to the Donovan Company."

"But miss… Mr. Lockwood told me to bring you straight back home." The driver informed Raine and intentionally missed the intersection. 

They needed to take quite a distance roundabout to return. The driver knew this but he still deliberately did it.

The driver was a human, who was recruited by Raphael and hired by Torak to protect Raine. Therefore, they would take Torak or Raphael's order, but not hers.

Obviously, he wouldn't listen.

Thus, Raine needed to take an extreme measure for her voice to be heard too.
