Chapter 41: Is it Painful?

With parted lips, Melrose asked, "What are you doing?"

Reed didn't say a word and strutted on the hall where the maids cleaning saw them. The maids were shocked to see her carried by Reed. But at the same time they panicked and dropped their heads to the ground as if it was something they shouldn't have seen.

"Put me down, Lord Knight. What will the servants think-"

"The lady hurt her foot," Reed said loud enough for everyone in the hall to hear. "Can someone lead us to the infirmary?"

The head maid who looked hesitant to come close bowed and took the initiative to lead. "My lord, let me lead the way."
