Chapter 71: A proposition

The flying books never stopped, as Miss Jena moved toward him with slow steps. Though, every single one of those steps was loudly resounding through the empty library. 

Her brows were curled upward on her radiant, ample white face. The grin on her face looked threatening for some reason, with no clear indication of the threat she presented. Neither her burning gaze ever left Arsh even for a moment.

She had every bit of her attention directed at him. 

Arsh quickly tried to compose himself looking right into her eyes. She for sure was plotting something, this time going as far as to follow his trail almost in the middle of the night. 

Arsh looked back at her with serious eyes, successfully suppressing his surprise. He didn't know how it was going to end with this unexpected ominous meeting, but he was ready for every possibility. Even the ones he actively tried to avoid in the past.
