Chapter 30: Secrets

JACK POV

I look at the emotion behind Lilly's eyes and I know that she is begging me not to run away. But I do not know why she would even think that I would run away with anything that she has to tell me. I think that when she does tell me I might just run to her instead of away from her. There is not much that she can say that would make me run away. I can see that she is afraid of telling me about her ex-boyfriend.

"Lilly, why would you think for a second that I will run away from you? You were the one that stood by me while I was literally dying and you did not run away. It would not make me much of a man if I run away now just after I asked the love of my life to marry me? But I also do not want you to tell me if you do not feel comfortable enough to tell me"

I do not know if she is hearing what I am saying but every word that is coming out of my mouth is the truth.
