Chapter 6: Aunt Glenda

Jack returns from his meeting with Mr. Micheals. He move slowly towards your desks.

"Lilly...I...I"

"No need to, Mr. Hanson, it's okay."

"No! It's not. I had no right to speak to you that way. You just tried to help me and I thank you for that. It's just, when I'm feeling like that, I'm not really used to have some-"

"Someone?"

"Yes, yes, that's right..." He looks down and avoids eye contact.

"I mean it when I say, it's really okay. No one is nice when they are sick or not feeling well. Right?" His cheeks turn bright red. As if you said something, that touched his heart.

"Right, right of course."

"But you really didn't look so good. Are you sure there isn't something I can do for you?"

"I really am fine now, but thank you though. It's good to know...someone cares." He gives you one of his intense stares and his features soften.
