Chapter 164: 176. Murderous Gaze (part 1)

Mack could not believe what he just heard. 'Why all old fogeys keep trying to turn me on their apprentices?' First was the old man, and now this one. If this continued, Mack would have to open a nursing home. 'And they are all balds!' Thought Mack, looking at the glistering forehead of the old man in front of him.

Mack didn't want to bother with all those myths about cultivators or any of that. He just wanted to be able to improve his memory and understand how chanting could affect the essence. He knew the principles behind, the old man had already given an explanation to him, it was all about runes, and the power to change essence they carried, it was just a different method, but to know the theory and to understand how to apply that in real life was two different things, and that was what Mack was after.
