Chapter 1: Orphanage
Zoon is a kid, an 8 years old boy, whose parents are gone a long time from an adventure in Underworld by "Animals", and had been sent to an orphanage which called "The Last". He is about 3 ft. and 4 in. tall, skinny as a dead rat, keep silence as an old man who has nothing more to tell, sit on the edge of his own cold iron bed, looking straightly on the bed in front of him, a bed which just has a newest sheet in this entire place.
There is suppose to be a kid sleeping on that bed every night, but no longer now.
Orphanage...is actually not a poor place, kind like. Not that type of poor, it more likely, bad? For the most time, it is silence as dead. But sometimes weird screaming resounding around in the yard with workers swear that feeling... is actually worse than silence.
What is Orphanage? Or there are other words, what is the orphanage for?

Here is the answer.
Kids who lost their family, for kids who been abandoned by many many reasons, for kids whatever reason just existed, this is the place for them growing together in silence, grim and oppressive. Kids Who getting adopt from this hell is lucky, not definitely, but most of them are.
For the word "silence, grim and oppressive", There would be many things happen to children, but be in a few words, easily can describe as no love, no care and no either freedom and stuff that belong them.
Yes, there is heavy knowledge but together with heavy debt in future. Nothing is free, this is the first things kids learn in here.
Broken, Faint sunlight squeeze in the dark and humid room from the gap of iron windows, the boy who is sleeping on that bed is actually his one "old" friend, last night, he dies after really hard cough, blood came out from his throat as his vitality spring out.
After he finds the managers and brings them back here, this room, that boy already becomes a warm dead body. He died in a really painful way, his face showing hideous look like, but in that eyes, the only that Zoon can read is calm.
People said, there will be no emotion happening in dead body's eyes, is it? Zoon doesn't know. The thing Zoon does know is he doesn't either feel fear or sad, he is already used to it.
But for recent, he has a question that kind like confusing him, why do people live? Following human instinct but living in this kind cold place is better?
Or, free ourselves, from this hell will be actually better?
Zoon can't tell. Maybe the eyes of dead one's more truthful.
Zoon sigh to the illusion of yesterday, when all the people came around here, say something to comfort him, stay with him for a while, then finish the problem.
They take his dead body away, to somewhere. Then get out from here, everything is done, peaceful and quickly.
But here is some unusual things happen tho. From those people, Zoon finds out a bunch of people are a new face, who still have some feeling that makes him sick. Like sympathy.
What are you doing even?
Zoon remembers a lot, they are the volunteer of schools. All they are come from outside, they own family, own their fate.
"Steam revolution"
"The leap of civilization"
"Grain reform"
After that thing happened, People are free, people are equal, they are lucky, they are so lucky.
Almost everyone could have learned the things they like to learn, the do the things they like to do, but for us, there are not that many choices for us.
We are been forced to learn things to become adventurers. Go down to the underground, risk our life to find out the things we can have, to pay back our dept of life.
There is no any other class but teaching how to become an adventurer.
Wait, why, why is all this happen?
Why every one is happy but no one wants to help us? Even the world it seems no that bad?
Because, because.
"The last", is really the last level Orphanage in the entire world could have. Any kids that orphanage is doesn't like, are all been sent to here.
Crazy, Sick, Low intelligence, Or whatever reason, they are living here.
Who will be patient when people facing the kids who have an unacceptable bad smell?
To who may turn into a mad dog next second?
To who spit foam all the time, no one no when they ganna die?
To who full of abscess all over the body?
Or either who looks bad as hell?
Who wanna pay their attention to us?
Zoon holds his hand up, touch his own face for a while. Several scars spread from forehead to his chin. his right eye is full by dead white, this face, and his dead silence, his skinny, all is the elements make no one like him.
