Three days the Knights toiled indefatigably in their search. Tents and campgrounds spread over the wide expanse.
Early the fourth morning, Avery awoke, having not slept the entire night, his mind clouded in imaginations of The Scroll of Internal Light. His pickaxe, over his shoulder, he walked alone over to the place he started working on the day before; The other men were still asleep in their tents. It was four in the morning.
Striking the ground with several powerful blows, he stopped for a brief respite in order to wipe the sweat from his brow. Near where he stood, he fancied he saw a strange glow upon the boulder to his left.
"Am I still sleepy?" He asked, questioning his senses, and rubbing his eyes. Returning to his digging, again he saw the glow reappear; This time, even brighter with a greener tint.
Ceasing his work, he stared down at the large rock a few feet away from him. "I will check it out. Perhaps it is the morning sun shining through."
Going over to the spot, and raising his pickaxe over his head, he dealt the powerful boulder a mighty blow of force. The rock remained unbroken despite his attempts in picking through it.
"I need more hands. I will go and rouse the men", The Prince ran over to the tents of the three knights; And poking his head inside shouted: "Rise, for there is something I discovered of interest. Follow me."
The Knights quickly dressed and walked over with Avery, to the area indicated.
"You want us to help you in breaking this rock?", Halu Asked quizzically glancing at Avery.
"Yes. Inside it, I see a greenish glow", he answered pointing to it.
"Certainly, I do not discern it. Friends, do you too, see it as the young Avery does?", Replied Halu, turning then to Toru and Boru.
"No. We do not see it", They answered.
"Sir Knights, please lend me your strength. For I see it glowing ever so brightly!" Exclaimed Avery, picking up an axe.
The four men despite all their powers combined, experienced great trouble in overpowering the boulder.
Angrily, Avery began to hit harder.
Within thirty minute's time, the rock suddenly burst open, a magnificent portal of green, emerged from its hidden area, out of the sand. From the portal, came forth, a beautiful young woman, dazzling in beauty and wonder.
The four knights awestruck with the amount of brightness in which she shone, they fell backwards to the ground.
