I was in my room sitting in my chair staring off into the space with my legs crossed and a game of chess in front of me.

Just an hour ago, when I and Lyall had returned from the meeting with Damon we received a news that Asher had disappeared.

Asher was injured when I had seen him last time, but he wasn't in that bad state that he would die. Did he get eaten by the forest animals?

But there weren't any high-level predators in the forest to do anything to him, the largest predator in that forest were foxes.

I thought maybe he returned home but he wasn't there according to my sources, they had dug into it and got to know that Asher hadn't returned. The household didn't even know that something had happened in the path and that Mirielle aka I was kidnapped.

I ordered an investigation to look for Asher since I didn't want to poor guy to be left to die like he was abandoned by his family.
